 Supervision of mechanics to achieve 99% up time of all equipment. Focus on PM to reduce breakdown rectification.
 
Minimise equipment down time, repair cost and time effectively.
 Job Responsibilities
 
Ensure a safe work environment for all workers.
 
Supervise and guide the mechanics for breakdown, PM, and other maintenance activities.
 
Supervising of capex projects.
 
Finding better alternative solutions. Such as better products from other sources other than equipment supplier.
 
Manpower allocation day to day basis
 
Coordinate with production for PM activities
 
Ensure SOP for all equipment.
 
Co ordination with Purchase dept for spares procurement.
 
Ensure no wastage of consumables (oils /air / water) by implementing on time rectification of faults.
 
Implement the SAP maintenance system to be up dated. by recording breakdown data.
 
Co ordinate with stores to ensure spares and consumables are available.
 
Achieve and maintain the 5S requirements.
 
Candidate Requirements

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Supervisor (MRAP/Wheel) (SWA Bn)

<div>Purpose: The Assistant Maintenance Manager provides secondary level support and directly reports to the Maintenance Manager for APS-5 Kuwait.
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>
Manages a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline:</li>
<li>
Assists in establishing hiring boards to interview candidates for open positions.</li>
<li>
Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in staff assessments / assignments.</li>
<li>
Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements.</li>
<li>
Issues disciplinary or corrective actions when required.</li>
<li>
Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate.</li>
<li>
Responsible for completing performance evaluations as required.</li>
<li>
Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.</li>
<li>
Adjusts resources to meet production and man hour utilization requirements.</li>
<li>
Assigns adequate supervisory coverage for each shift.</li>
<li>
Provides required information and reports in a timely, accurate manner.</li>
<li>
Resolves issues and recommends actions to improve delivery of services.</li>
<li>
Ensures accurate daily documentation of maintenance actions.</li>
<li>
Reviews and evaluates management and production effectiveness.</li>
<li>
Analyzes personnel and equipment performance history using QA reports.</li>
<li>
Initiates management actions to meet new workload requirements or correct reported/perceived deficiencies.</li>
<li>
Manages the maintenance planning cycle.</li>
<li>
Ensures correct charge codes are used by employees.</li>
<li>
Ensures only qualified personnel accomplish maintenance with the appropriate equipment and tools.</li>
<li>
Ensures scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions are entered and completed in the MIS.</li>
<li>
Advises the production supervisor of conditions that may disrupt the orderly and controlled execution of the maintenance plan.</li>
<li>
Performs other position related duties as assigned.</li>

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Specialized Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul>
<li>
Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. Army Logistics STAMIS in use to include GCSS-Army.</li>
<li>
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact well with the customer and with employees at all levels.</li>
<li>
Appropriate verbal and written communication skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans and working instructions.</li>
</ul>
Education:<ul>
<li>
High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li>
</ul>
Experience:<ul>
<li>
Minimum seven (7) years of maintenance level experience on military vehicles.</li>
<li>
Minimum three (3) years of maintenance supervisory experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of applicable governing regulations, policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
Certification, License &amp; Clearance:<ul>
<li>
U.S. Citizenship required.</li>
<li>
Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.</li>
<li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license required.</li>
</ul>
Facility credentials/authorization required: Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Assistant Maintenance Manager (KU Bn)

<div>Purpose: This position is responsible for all maintenance production operations under this effort. Provides leadership, guidance and maintenance management for proper Theater Field and Sustainment level maintenance utilizing The Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS) and GCSS-Army to ensure Army Prepositioned Equipment is TM-10/20 and Theater Sustainment Stocks are Fully Mission Capable (FMC).
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>
Reports to and supports the APS-5 Project Manager for APS-5 maintenance posture.</li>
<li>
Serves as the principal adviser to the APS-5 Program Manager for all APS-5 maintenance operations; develops maintenance plans, policy, and programs in support of APS-5 maintenance restructure.</li>
<li>
Responsible for COSIS, De-COSIS, Issue, and RESET maintenance for APS-5 Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) equipment Set, Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) equipment set, and Kuwait Sustainment Brigade (KSB) equipment set are maintained to TM 10/20 Standard.</li>
<li>
Responsible for Theater Sustainment Stocks (TSS) Track Group, Wheel Group, and Ancillary Groups to FMC standard.</li>
<li>
Conduct Maintenance Readiness reviews and briefs customer of equipment status, set conditions and attain 95% Operational Readiness Rate for APS/TSS IAW AR 220-1 and AR 700-138.</li>
<li>
Ensure proper Production Control systems processes support maintenance Work Bench operations.</li>
<li>
Ensures PMCS, Annual Services, and COSIS services are conducted to standard and on time in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and applicable technical manuals.</li>
<li>
Responsible for overall problem resolution, planning, and execution of forward functions pertaining to maintenance.</li>
<li>
Create a safety-first work ethic within the work force and ensure observance of safety rules are being followed, including wearing required personal protective equipment.</li>
<li>
Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions.</li>
<li>
Perform all other position related duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education:<ul>
<li>
High school diploma required; bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business or Logistics Management related field preferred.</li>
<li>
Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) preferred.</li>
</ul>
Experience:<ul>
<li>
Minimum 10 years maintenance supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures.</li>
<li>
Former Maintenance Warrant Officer preferred.</li>
</ul>
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
<ul><li>Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Logistics STAMIS in use and must have the ability to properly monitor production for compliance with scheduling directives, cost factors, and other applicable standards.</li>
<li>
Must be able to properly develop appropriate performance standards, track maintenance production, and ensure facilities operate in a safe and efficient manner.</li>
<li>
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>
Appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.</li>
<li>
Must have thorough knowledge of Army technical publications related to Maintenance Management.</li>
<li>
Must have thorough knowledge of Army technical publications related to Maintenance Management.</li>
</ul>
Certification &amp; License:
<ul><li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li>
<li>
Secret clearance required.</li>
<li>
Must be U.S. Citizen.</li>
</ul>
Active Clearance is required: Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.
