Based in New York City, Mid-Level Giving Officer I qualifies, solicits, stewards, and cultivates, individuals, couples, and families who partner financially with Earthjustice. This position will manage a regional portfolio of 150-250 Mid-Level giving donors, called Justice Partners.</div><div>

Justice Partners, donors who give $1,000 - $35,000 annually to Earthjustice, are passionate and engaged supporters of Earthjustice&rsquo;s mission. This position will coordinate donor outreach by phone, video calls, and email to determine their interest in two-way engagement, inclination and capacity to make a major or planned gift, programmatic and philanthropic priorities, and manage their relationship with the organization. The Officer will be responsible for an eventual direct solicitation goal of $500,000 per year. Meeting this fundraising goal includes upgrades to major gifts. Some travel will be required to attend Justice Partners events, donor meetings, and other engagement opportunities, as well as professional and/or organizational meetings, trainings, and conferences.</div><div>

Donor Qualification, Solicitation, and Stewardship (80%)</p><ul><li>
Manages a portfolio of 150-250 Mid-Level donors and prospects; develop strategies and implement plans for qualifying, cultivating, stewarding, and soliciting those donors. Responsible for meeting revenue, solicitation, visit, and outreach goals set forth in annual work plan each year with an ultimate annual fundraising goal of $500,000. Meeting this fundraising goal includes upgrades to major gifts.</li><li>
Identify planned giving opportunities and partner with planned giving officers to solicit and close bequest, asset, and life income gifts.</li><li>
Builds relationships with donors through virtual and in person visits and other engagement opportunities.</li></ul><p>
Analysis and Data Management (10%)</p><div><ul><li>
Tracks opportunities, plan notes, call notes and responses, contact attempts, communications preferences, and interests in donor database.</li><li>
Attends trainings and actively learns databases, systems, and other technology used by the Development department and Earthjustice to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and efficiency.</li><li>

<ul><li>Cultivate UMRH visibility through membership in community organizations such as the downtown Durham Rotary Club. Maintain a high level of public awareness about the ministry, services and programs of UMRH.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Evaluate, implement, and maintain new technology in planned giving, such as web- based systems, with assistance from the development specialist. Use procured off-the-shelf products when practical.</li></ul>

<div>17. Plan and implement strategies to promote the mission, understanding and support of UMRH in local churches, districts, in the North Carolina Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Develop good relationships, communication, and personal visits with local churches, districts, and conference personnel, when such contacts are efficient use of time and funds, as a method of identifying ways UMRH can enhance programs of the churches and districts of the Conference.</div>

The Director of Development for the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and the College of General Studies is responsible for securing major gifts of $100,000 and above to advance the mission and priorities of these academic units. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development and working closely with the leaders within the school, this role requires a strategic relationship builder who can translate academic excellence into compelling philanthropic opportunities while managing complex stakeholder relationships.</p><p>
The Director will identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit individual donors; lead the school's stewardship programs; supervise Donor Relations and Stewardship Associate(s); and serve as primary liaison between school-based and central development teams. This position operates with significant autonomy, requiring the ability to balance competing priorities.</p><p><b>

Job Summary</b></div><p>
Oversees development of a program, plans, and activities to create and execute a comprehensive development plan achieving new and recurring contributions to a school, foundation, program, and/or group. Manages a portfolio of major gift donors and strategically builds fundraising prospects. Assists leadership in facilitating a comprehensive communications plan and with development strategies.</p></div><div><div><b>
Essential Functions</b></div><ul><li>
Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit individual donors to secure gifts of $100,000 and above through substantive in-person and virtual meetings, proposal development, and strategic relationship management.</li><li>
Lead the school's comprehensive stewardship program to ensure meaningful donor experiences and continued philanthropic investment.</li><li>
Serve as primary coordinator between school-based development efforts and central gift officers, working closely with the Dean, department chairs, faculty, and PAE colleagues to align fundraising strategies and maximize philanthropic impact.</li><li><p>
Supervise and develop Donor Relations and Stewardship Associate(s), providing guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented team culture.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><div><b><br>
