Join us to lead our payroll team with enthusiasm, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, calculations, and disbursements using payroll software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.</li><li>Ensure accurate processing of employee wages, benefits administration, tax deductions, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.</li><li>Reconcile payroll accounts regularly through general ledger accounting practices, including journal entries and account reconciliation.</li><li>Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain up-to-date employee records within HRIS systems and ensure seamless integration with accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft.</li><li>Manage payroll-related reporting for internal audits, governmental agencies, and external auditors while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.</li><li>Lead efforts in benefits administration related to payroll deductions and non-profit or governmental accounting standards when applicable.</li><li>Monitor changes in tax laws or regulations that impact payroll processing; implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.</li><li>Support accounts payable and receivable functions related to payroll expenses; assist with month-end closing activities involving the general ledger.</li><li>Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors; implement corrective actions promptly.</li><li>Maintain detailed documentation of payroll procedures and ensure adherence to double entry bookkeeping principles and technical accounting standards.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience managing payroll operations within a fast-paced environment using platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or Ceridian.</li><li>Strong knowledge of payroll management practices combined with a solid understanding of accounting concepts including debits &amp; credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.</li><li>Familiarity with various accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle complex data entry tasks accurately using 10 key typing skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Experience working with human resources systems (HRIS) for benefits administration and employee record management.</li><li>Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus.</li><li>Excellent analysis skills for financial data interpretation coupled with strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities effectively.</li><li>Prior exposure to tax experience related to payroll processing is advantageous.
