THE ROLE</div><div>
The HR Director, Investigations is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading complex and high-risk employment investigations across a multi-state organization. Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, with a dotted line to the SVP, Employment Counsel, this role serves as the enterprise lead for sensitive workplace investigations, ensuring fair, thorough, and legally sound investigative processes.</div><div></div><div>
This role requires extensive travel (up to 50%) to conduct in-person investigations and support location-level teams. Candidates must reside near a major regional airport hub to ensure efficient national travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
Lead complex and high-risk employment investigations across multiple lines of business.</li><li>
Conduct investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage &amp; hour concerns, and policy violations.</li><li>
Develop investigation plans, conduct interviews, review documentation, and prepare detailed, defensible investigative reports.</li><li>
Ensure investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.</li><li>
Partner closely with the SVP, Employment Counsel on legally sensitive matters.</li><li>
Provide guidance to Regional HRBPs and HR Leadership on investigation protocols and risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>
Identify recurring themes or systemic risks and partner with HR Director, Compliance &amp; Audit and Senior Manager, HR Training to drive corrective action and training initiatives.</li><li>
Support agency responses (EEOC, state agencies) as needed.</li><li>
Continuously improve investigation processes, documentation standards, and reporting tools.</li><li>
Utilize Workday data and reporting to support investigation documentation and trend analysis.</li><li>
Oversee or review concerns raised through the Speak Up (ethics hotline) platform and ensure appropriate follow-up and documentation.</li></ul><div></div><div>

 The Interviews Team is looking for an Investigator to join our team! This role involves conducting thorough insurance claims investigations, which include performing scene investigations to collect photo and video evidence from accident locations. Additionally, this position requires the handling of document signings and retrievals, conducting wellness checks, and submitting daily updates on the work performed for each case. Preparing and dictating investigation reports is also a key responsibility.

   Conducting insurance claims investigations, including taking recorded claimant and witness statements as well as performing scene investigations

   Completing multiple types of complex claims investigations
  </li>

   Reviewing assignments and supporting documentation to determine case objectives and client expectations.

   Daily submission of updates regarding work performed on each case
  </li>

   Maintaining a sufficient level of client billable hours
