Reporting to the Director of Partner Recruiting, the Partner Recruiting Manager will serve as a project lead for sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding lateral partners, groups, and select senior attorneys across the firm. This position is part of a growing team and will work alongside other Partner Recruiting Managers to support firmwide hiring priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partner &amp; Recruiting Group
<ul><li>Lead firmwide lateral partner and group recruiting efforts aligned with the firm&rsquo;s strategic growth objectives.</li>
<li>Partner closely with Regional Managing Partners, Practice Group Leaders, and firm leadership to identify hiring needs and develop targeted sourcing strategies.</li>

Pipeline &amp; Process Management
<ul><li>Own and manage the full lifecycle of complex partner recruiting processes from outreach through onboarding.</li>
<li>Guide candidates through LPQ, interview, conflicts, compensation modeling, and Letter of Understanding stages.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed candidate profiles, business case summaries, and briefing materials for leadership review.</li>
<li>Coordinate cross-functional due diligence with Finance, Conflicts, HR, IT, Marketing, and Operations.</li>

Data, Reporting &amp; Strategy Support
<ul><li>Prepare data analyses, reports, and dashboards on recruiting activity, market trends, and competitive intelligence.</li>

<li>Present insights and recommendations to leadership to inform hiring strategy and priorities.</li>

Onboarding &amp; Integration
<ul><li>Support onboarding and integration of lateral partners and groups in collaboration with firm departments.</li>

Team &amp; Collaboration
<ul><li>Collaborate closely with other members of the Partner Recruiting and broader Attorney Recruiting teams.</li>

Education &amp; Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required, JD or professional services background a plus.</li>
<li>5+ years of law firm or professional services recruiting experience, including experience with lateral partner or senior level hiring strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder hiring processes.</li>

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Candidate Sourcing and Marketing: work to develop creative solutions to candidate sourcing to complement the firm&rsquo;s agency relationships; proactively identify high-quality candidates in the market, using innovative sourcing methods and tools; develop lateral associate recruiting sections of the firm&rsquo;s Careers website.
</li><li>Interviews and Evaluations: oversee the interview and evaluation process, including selection and preparation of interviewers, scheduling, aggregation of feedback, and facilitation of decisions.
</li><li>Offer Process: oversee the lateral associate and judicial clerk offer processes including preparing offer letters, reviewing offers for consistency, and identifying liability issues and special considerations such as admission and visa status; work with practice groups and management in the negotiation of lateral hire compensation and other offer terms, using market trends and conditions that may affect compensation, bonuses, raises, and benefits; create email template to use as lateral offers are extended.</li><li>
Onboarding and Orientation: Coordinate with candidates and/or agencies and relevant internal personnel to ensure that all onboarding paperwork is sent to candidates, returned, and processed promptly; be in regular contact with candidates, agencies, and hiring partners to instill confidence that the onboarding process is progressing on schedule; oversee orientation programs for new lateral lawyer hires; review and revamp lateral orientation materials periodically as needed, including creation of a slide deck with orientation information; and assist in assigning mentors to New York, Boston, and Miami incoming laterals.
</li><li>Integration and Retention: Coordinate with other firm departments on lateral associate integration and retention; gather and analyze data on lateral associate success to help drive improvements in future lateral hiring; conduct exit interviews and identify/report on trends in that feedback.
</li><li>Data Retention and Analysis: ensure the regular maintenance of attorney applicant databases for purposes of applicant tracking and reporting</li><li>
Other: work with HRIS to drive improvements to the firm&rsquo;s Applicant Management System; oversee the Legal Recruiting Department&rsquo;s responses to external surveys; update New Hire page on @sidley.</li><li>
