Job Summary

The Manufacturing Associate will support manufacturing of Artiva&rsquo;s off-the-shelf cell therapy platforms in our new, state of the art, cGMP facility. The successful candidate will develop and adhere to written procedures (SOPs) related to GMP facility operations, monitoring of equipment and facilities, and manufacturing of cell therapies internally at Artiva. The ideal candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cGMP compliance and will support manufacturing activities across multiple programs. 


Duties/Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assist in setting up cGMP manufacturing suites and equipment/fixtures as needed.
</li><li>Perform facility and equipment monitoring activities.</li>
<li>Assist in authoring manufacturing standard operating procedures and batch production records that are technically sound, promote effective and efficient operations, and comply with cGMP requirements.</li>
<li>Perform cGMP manufacturing and support operations described in standard operating procedures and batch records across multiple programs.</li>
<li>Complete documentation required by process tech-transfer protocols, validation protocols, standard operating procedures, and batch records following cGDP standards.</li>
<li>Perform tasks in a manner consistent with Artiva&rsquo;s safety policies, quality systems, and GMP requirements.</li>
<li>Complete training assignments and qualifications to ensure the necessary GMP manufacturing, and process related technical skills and knowledge.</li></ul> 


Required Skills &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li> Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.</li>
<li> Minimum 2 years of experience in cGMP biologics or cell culture manufacturing, experience in biotech or cell therapy manufacturing preferred.</li>
<li> Experience in the following preferred:</li>
<li>Aseptic gowning and manufacturing in an ISO 7 clean room environment.</li>
<li>Cell counting on various platforms</li>
<li>Cell culture and expansion using bag systems, single use large scale bioreactors, and others where applicable. Sartorius systems experience a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with transduction using Lentiviral vectors</li>
<li>Cell harvesting and washing processes both automated and manual. Experience with kSep a plus.
</li><li>Cell selection and depletion techniques using Miltenyi CliniMACS Prodigy.</li>
<li>Fill finish and Cryopreservation processes and equipment in both bags and vials. AT-vialing a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance applicable to biologics and cell therapy manufacturing.</li></ul>

Our Manufacturing Associate, Cell Therapy team manufactures human blood derived components per Batch Record and Standard Operating Procedures in a controlled, cGMP cleanroom environment under the supervision of Manufacturing Management. We are producing the new Hypersonic vehicles for Air Force, Army and Navy. In this role, you will: 
<ul><li>Lead the shaping and development of the production activity for all Electronics, Assembly, and Test Facility programs.</li><li>Establish personnel, equipment, and facility resources needed for execution.</li><li>Establish and cultivate relationships with all programs and functional leadership at the Courtland Site to ensure achievement for all program objectives.</li><li>Institutionalize focused execution of standard processes and ensure best practices are communicated and utilized.</li><li>Drive affordability and commonality initiatives which will reduce cycle time, generate program reserve, and assure future program awards, including adoption of enterprise-wide production best practices.</li><li>Ensure Manufacturing Engineering team is staffed, ready, and executing on cost and schedule.</li><li>Serve as the spokesperson for the organization relating on significant matters relating to production operations</li></ul> 
The ideal candidate will have the ability to:

Basic Qualifications: 
<ul><li>Experience in a production rate environment.</li><li>Manufacturing engineering or related experience.</li><li>Informal or formal leadership experience.</li><li>Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.</li><li>Ability to work in Courtland and Huntsville as required.</li></ul>
Desired Skills: 
<ul><li>A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or Mathematics or equivalent experience.</li><li>Electrical and mechanical assembly experience.</li><li>Formal Full Spectrum Leadership experience.</li><li>Active Secret Clearance.</li><li>Experience working with schedules/programmatic and integrating performance data.</li><li>Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) to include Earn Value Management (EVM).</li><li>5+ years of experience in a production or assembly and integration environment with recent (within the last 5 years) demonstrated leadership experience.</li><li>Experience leading or supporting Manufacturing Milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR).</li><li>Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.</li><li>Experience working with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.</li><li>Experience in preparation of technical documentation and analyzing technical data.</li><li>5+ years leadership experience.</li><li>Lean six sigma Green Belt training or certified.</li><li>Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).</li><li>Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).</li><li>Experience with Statement of Work (SOW) and Electronic Production Operations Directive (EPOD).</li><li>Experience with SAP data analysis and Business Intelligence Tools (i.e. Excel Macro, Tableau, WEBI (Web Intelligence), SADE (SAP Accounting Data Extract).</li><li>Experience with Supply Chain, Production Operations, Quality, Finance data analysis.</li><li>Knowledge of/experience with LM proposal process and tools (I.e. SAP, GenBOE, etc.).</li><li>Experience collaborating with and leading multi-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives.</li><li>Experience designing or conducting new facility</li></ul>
building construction and layout projects. 
<ul><li>Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems system tools (SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, etc.) or industry equivalent.</li><li>Complete program lifecycle experience on development and sustainment programs.</li><li>Experience in supporting large, complex development programs.</li><li>Experience supporting multiple development and/or production sites.</li><li>Possess or have the ability to be trained and certified in accordance with LM SSC training requirement to perform all duties related to assigned tasks.</li><li>Previous Proposal, Basis of Estimate (BOE) and/or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) experience.</li><li>Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers (specifically DoD customers), including senior levels of management.</li><li>Experience with transitioning hardware from prototype, development, to rate production phase.</li></ul>
