Mechanic performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of marine engines, marine machinery, and related equipment. The objective is to effectively diagnose engine problems promptly and coordinate repairs with the company's engineering staff. The Mechanic will be directly responsible for performing repairs and engine overhauls in accordance with technical manuals and company policies.</div><div></div><p><b><br>
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities for Mechanic</b></p><ul><li>
Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline and marine diesel engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals.</li><li>

</li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule.</p>
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times.</p>
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.</p>
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes.</p>
