The primary purpose of this role is to oversee asset protection functions, performing AP and Safety-related activities to support Home Depot's business objectives, such as, but not limited to minimizing shrink, risk and safety incidents, providing on boarding to AP programs, OSHA standards and investigations, training, coaching and response to potentially volatile situations, requiring effective decision making and conducting investigations for assigned DC's. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
30% Strategy and Planning: Organizes, plans and performs asset protection activities within the assigned location(s) for topics such as shrink, and safety awareness programs, merchandise accuracy audits, training, development and execution of those programs; Implements strategic asset protection plans in partnership with building leadership, and provides support to the leadership team related to improving overall performance as it relates to shrink, safety, accuracy and regulatory compliance</li><li>
30% Delivery and Execution: Participates in the decision making process with leadership relating to decisions about shrink, safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Makes recommendations and provides communication to Sr. Asset Protection Manager, and others; Initiates investigations and resolution of safety, regulatory compliance, and theft related issues. Discusses concerns as they arise with the GM, and HRM. Escalates to Sr. Asset Protection Manager as necessary to protect the company brand, liability and maintain a productive work environment for all associates; Attains performance metrics related to safety, shrink, accuracy, regulatory compliance and expenses, using all available tools, to review the overall safety and security metrics. Immediately reporting relevant issues to GM and or Sr. Asset Protection Manager and implementing solutions to improve the safety and shrink of assigned building(s); Share performance results with DC leadership, Sr. Asset Protection Manager, and SSC business partners to identify areas for improvement and recommend resolutions as it relates to the overall safety, shrink, accuracy, and regulatory compliance</li><li>
20% People: Manages a team of Asset Protection Supervisors, Auditors through hands-on leadership; Makes recommendations concerning their teams (e.g., recruitment, selection, performance appraisal, and professional development); Identifies training needs throughout all departments in the DC by determining gaps in operations, safety and shrink performance, hazardous material handling, and regulatory compliance execution of the operations programs; Reviews and provides feedback on key Asset Protection deliverables in Shrink, Safety, Accuracy and Compliance</li><li>
20% Compliance: Leads regulatory investigations suc as, OSHA, EPA, state and federal agencies. Maintain compliance with all Supply Chain security measures that will include but not limited to a seal compliance and testing program and maintaining a strong physical security presence. Leverage contracted site guard supervisors, and ensure all electronic security systems are in good working order at all times.</li></ul>

DC Asset Protection Manager

<div>This role is a multi‑site position supporting multiple locations across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Kansas, and Missouri. Preferred candidates will reside in the Dallas&ndash;Fort Worth, Texas area.
Position Purpose: 
Regional Asset Protection Manager (RAPM) is responsible for ensuring Asset Protection initiatives and programs are executed within the region. Key responsibilities include but not limited to; analyzing and managing regional shrink performance, detecting, investigating and resolving theft and fraud, delivering shrink goals and ensuring Asset Protection processes are executed by the field team. The RAPM works with the Regional and District teams to drive theft mitigation and shrink and ensure physical security processes provide safe and secure environment for store teams, associates and customers. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to gain cross functional support and alignment. The RAPM is responsible for coaching and training of the field Asset Protection teams within the region. The RAPM reports directly to the Sr Field AP Manager and leads a field team of Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers (MAPMs), Sr. Asset Protection Supervisors and Asset Protection Specialists. 
 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
30% - Delivery and Execution - Maintains close alignment with Region/District leaders to monitor progress for shrink mitigation programs and awareness. Accountable for improved shrink performance, internal and external investigations for Theft and Fraud and Physical Security initiatives. Identifies and resolves issues to ensure the Asset Protection Field team meet strategic and metric performance goals. Execute the company's Asset Protection programs and initiatives within the region.</li><li>
40% - People - Responsible for onboarding and training for the Asset Protection field team, coaching and development and communication of all Asset Protection processes, programs, and trends. Drives accountability to the Asset Protection deliverables, including region, district and store shrink goals, and physical security standards with direct reports. Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates. Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams to ensure effective performance. Utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. The Regional Asset Protection Manager leads the Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers and the field team organization to drive alignment and engagement for all Asset Protection initiatives and programs that mitigate shrink, reduce theft and fraud, and maintain physical security standards. Development of teams that drive AP performance towards achievement of quality standards and performance metrics. Ensure priorities align with objectives and goals. Coach and mentor employees providing ongoing performance feedback. Develops leaders and builds a deep talent bench for leaders by driving the succession planning and selection; Drives the development of direct reports by conducting annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback; Ensures adherence to major and minor work rule policies referenced in the Standards of Performance and all company SOPs. Drives engagement for Asset Protection programs with store, district and regional leaders ensuring the execution of strategies and processes through the Multi-store Asset Protection Manager (MAPM) and field teams within an assigned region. Internal and external case activity, supporting investigative efforts, analyzing information and intelligence to establish prosecutable cases and restitution recovery. Leads outlier management of stores that have shrink results not meeting company shrink guidelines within a Region and adapt strategies as necessary with the field team to reduce shrink.</li></ul>

Job Overview

The Manager, Asset Protection oversees one of the highest shortage locations, with an elevated scope of responsibility that may include executive direct reports and increased staff levels, higher Sales Volume, or significant Shortage risk. They serve as the subject matter expert on Asset Protection and Shortage Reduction Strategies within their location, the experience they bring in asset protection and shortage reduction is essential in supporting the overall company goal for topline results.

<div>Position Purpose:
The District Asset Protection Manager (DAPM) is responsible for teaching, coaching, and training associates to ensure the effective execution of core Asset Protection initiatives. They are responsible for driving core programs and strategies relating to theft and fraud mitigation, operational excellence, safety, and environmental compliance in The Home Depot stores without adding complexity or tasking to the stores' operation. They must be able to multi-task across stores and gain the partnership of the District Manager, Store Manager, Store Leadership Team, APS and other store associates to achieve the goals and business objectives of the AP and Store Operations leadership teams. 
 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
25% - Driving Execution - Drive execution of the Merchandise Protection Standards (MPS), Pick Ticket, and Lockup programs. Review Front End Accuracy standards to include Accuracy/Theft and Fraud initiatives and G.E.T initiatives. Ensure stores are driving a safety culture by promoting safety initiatives. Ensure post orders are followed and understood by 3rd Party Guards. In partnership with DHRM, DM, de-escalation of serious incidents and threats of violence. Teach, coach, and train store leadership and associates on theft/fraud, operational shrink and shrink mitigation initiatives. Build Relations and engage and walk with Government Relations and Law Enforcement for localized support. Walk and ensure safety of parking lots along with in safety strategies and processes. To ensure safe environment for customers and associates.</li><li>
50% - Internal and External Theft and Fraud - Perform timely entry of internal cases into the case management system in accordance with AP Policy; to include activity cans, review alerts, and physical security. Review available resources to identify key theft trends by class and SKU for internal and external theft and create solutions. Conduct timely interviews for internal theft cases identified by MAPM or Central Investigations Team (CIT). Timely review, approve, or reject external cases submitted by the Asset Protection Specialists. Build partnerships with local law enforcement in order to strengthen THD's brand. Daily, weekly and monthly review of business practices, exception base reporting, theft portal and AP Performance Hub. Review and analyze shrink performance within the district and by store location. Monitors shrink indicators and drives execution of initiatives. Review and analyze shrink performance within the district and by store location. Manages the Company's shrink reduction strategy.</li><li>
25% - People - Make hiring decisions and take disciplinary action including termination (leveraging HR resources). Staff and schedule AP associates to meet the needs of the business utilizing theft trends and store tips. Teach, coach, train, and develop AP associates to ensure theft mitigation processes are executed, developing leads, documenting known thefts, cases are documented properly and opportunities are addressed. Conduct performance reviews, utilize performance management to address performance opportunities, and attend RAPM and district talent review. Coach and train associates on proper safety behaviors and environmental/regulatory processes to include execution of Handling Hazardous Materials (HHM) program and Store Readiness Checklist (SRC) process.</li></ul>
