<div>Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Associate will collaborate closely with the Chief Development Officer to support effective organizational operations in social media, marketing and communications, and special projects. The candidate will work with TCAH&rsquo;s program managers, community members, elected officials, and numerous stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a firm commitment to TCAH's mission of hunger relief and food justice; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong creative talent with an aptitude for marketing and building brand equity; the capacity to influence behavior through posted content; demonstrated social skills; the ability to thrive under constraints related to time and other resources; and experience with managing and coordinating small to medium-scale events.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</h4>
Social Media and PR &ndash; 35%

Objective: Convey the organization's mission, goals, and achievements through various communication mechanisms and media sources.

Orchestrate the organization's social media presence to ensure timely, compelling, and consistent messaging to external audiences. TCAH is on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, so familiarity with each platform is essential. Many clients, donors, supporters, and volunteers interact with these accounts. The incumbent must be prepared to respond to questions appropriately, reply to comments, and share shoutouts.</li><li>
Capture highquality photos and videos of TCAH&rsquo;s programs and events.</li><li>
Maintain an uptodate list of press contacts and coordinate press interviews to ensure TCAH is constructively presented. Draft press releases, packets, and media relations content and assist in their distribution.</li><li>
Research media coverage and trends, communications platforms, marketing tools, and brainstorm implementation strategies.</li></ul>

Objective: Support the organization's communications, marketing, and outreach efforts to promote and develop brand equity.

Reinforce the organization's communications plan, strategy, and performance indicators to ensure operational efficiency. TCAH is rapidly expanding its programs and services, so the incumbent must be comfortable adapting existing plans and strategies in a changing environment.</li><li>
Develop, format, and circulate all internal and externalfacing print and web materials. This includes the donor newsletter, current weather, holidays, special events, notices, etc.</li><li>
Prepare communication materials, including event and program flyers, invitations, agendas, and brochures, to effectively relay the organization's mission and goals. The incumbent will communicate with staff to ensure the intended messages are displayed and appropriately distributed.</li><li>
Support the web consultant by providing timely program content changes, uptodate statistics, and images reflective of TCAH&rsquo;s reality.</li><li>
Act as a marketing liaison between TCAH and the public, providing an informative, compelling, and comprehensive user experience.</li><li>
Perform general marketing functions, including selecting and ordering updated photos and artwork for internal walls; creating an informative display in the Benefits Access office; researching, designing, and ordering new external signage; and standardizing the signage for TCAH's network of urban farms.</li><li>
Develop and maintain mailing lists for marketing, communications, development, and advocacy purposes, including the names and contact information of elected officials, donors, and other supporters.</li><li>
Capture, edit, and store photos and video content to support marketing, development, and communication efforts.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">

Objective: Support the executive team to strengthen the organization's visibility, sustainability, and relationships within the community.

Provide support to the Programs Department through program planning, launch, and coordination of events.</li><li>
Work with the Chief Development Officer to identify, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with potential donors, local businesses, community boards, and other stakeholders, including producing marketing grant deliverables.</li><li>
Actively participate in community events to help align organizational strategy with social, civic, and local organizations.</li><li>
Provide industry intelligence and collaborate on new ideas for organizational growth.</li><li>
