<div>Position Summary

The Communications Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the communications and public relations efforts of the UF | Florida Semiconductor Institute. This position focuses primarily on writing, while also assisting in the design and production of a variety of internal communications materials and media. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, capable of translating complex technological concepts into clear, engaging content, and possess an eye for basic graphic design. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to FSI's communication initiatives while gaining valuable experience in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation, Writing, &amp; Design
<ul><li>Assists in translating messages using the power of words, images, sounds, and animation in order to implement effective communication materials and campaigns.</li>
<li>Creates or assists with content for various communication mediums, including brochures, memos, newsletters, websites, and digital platforms.</li>
<li>Assists with establishing information and public relations campaigns to facilitate the dissemination of information across the university and to external industry stakeholders.</li>
<li>Help with graphic design tasks utilizing tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.</li>
<li>Draft and meticulously proofread copy for FSI&rsquo;s email campaigns, social media posts, and special projects.</li>
<li>Submits all written and visual work for final review and approval before communications are released.</li>
