Performs all ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols and ensuring high-quality, diagnostic imaging results.</li><li>
Verifies patient identification and ensures the appropriate procedures are ordered and acknowledged prior to conducting imaging.</li><li>
Recognizes and documents pathologies during scanning for interpretation by the radiologist, following established protocols.</li><li>
Assumes responsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort during all imaging procedures.</li><li>
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control guidelines.</li><li>
Operates ultrasound equipment safely and effectively, following departmental policies and manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>
Accurately documents imaging procedures and patient information in the electronic health record system, ensuring all associated documents are scanned into PACS for radiologist interpretation.</li><li>
Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of imaging materials and coordinates inventory replenishment as needed.</li><li>

Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required</li><li>
2-4 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred</li></ul><p><b>

Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment operation.</li><li>
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic sonography.</li><li>

<p>The Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Technologist for Microbiology department, a section of Clinical Laboratory.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>You will be responsible to:</p>
<ul><li>perform clinical tests independently according to the standard operating procedures and ensure quality of results</li>
<li>participate in staff training, according to laboratory guidelines and also participate in educational opportunities</li>
<li>assist supervisor in the implementation of the safety standards according to Laboratory Safety Guidelines</li>
<li>Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions by alerting supervisory personnel, the pathologist, the physician, or nurse.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><br>
<div></div><p>You should have:</p>
<ul><li>a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Masters&rsquo; degree will be preferred</li><li>one year traineeship at the Clinical Laboratory at AKU or two to three years of relevant experience preferably in a laboratory or hospital</li><li>thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures</li><li>good written and verbal communication skills</li><li>willingness to work in shifts.</li></ul><div><br>
