The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Master HVAC Technician. This position requires an advanced skill level with performing installation and start-up of equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and repair applied HVAC equipment on job sites. The Master HVAC Technician is responsible for depot maintenance and repair, along with customer education. An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and work well with others. The position requires a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators and customers.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Performs installation and start-up of equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and repair applied HVAC equipment on job sites, including customer training.</li>
<li>Performs depot maintenance, testing, repair and customer education on all applied equipment.</li>
<li>Performs live circuit troubleshooting of applied equipment up to 1000 tons.</li>
<li>Provides remote technical support for applied equipment.</li>
<li>Performs job site walks to support equipment sales.</li>
<li>Commission low temperature applications.</li>
<li>Ability to install and commission water-cooled chiller projects.</li>
<li>Ability to install and commission advanced air-cooled chiller projects using multiple pumps and heat exchangers.</li>
<li>Ability to plan and install cold storage systems using air-cooled chillers and air-handlers.</li>
<li>Ability to layout slip stream projects using multiple chillers to provide an out of design TD requirement.</li>

The Required Profile
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Must have valid driver's license with good driving record</li>
<li>Must have current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training plus 5-15 years' experience working as a Service Technician in a commercial environment</li>
<li>Previous experience of 5+ years in chiller/HVAC maintenance, mechanical engineering, or other related fields.</li>
<li>Electrical knowledge required and EPA Certification Preferred (i.e. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.)</li>
<li>Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics.</li>
<li>Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and multitask.</li>
<li>Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to train junior technicians.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.</li>

 Performs thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance (PM) inspections.

 Propane/gasoline medium duty truck engine experience preferred,

 Must be able to lift heavy equipment including brake drums, tires, ladders, tool chests, floor jacks, etc. when necessary.

 Must be able to operate bench grinder, torch, drill press, jack and jack stands, Sawzall, oil pumps, power washer, parts cleaner and other hand tools required to perform work.

 Attend work on a regular and dependable basis

 Work Experience
 
 
 
 
 For Tech A:
 
 
 
 At least five (5) to seven (7) years hands-on experience working on diesel engines with large buses or vehicles with experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Class 7 Inspection license
 
 
 
 For Tech B
 
 
 
 At least four (4) years&rsquo; experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Class 7 Inspection license
 
 
 
 For Tech C
 
 
 
 At least two (2) years&rsquo; experience as a mechanic in an automotive, school bus, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Ability to safely lift heavy equipment (minimum of 50 lbs can be up to 100 pounds) frequently throughout the work day
 </li>

 Possession of a valid Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License and DOT physical or must be able to attain within 3 months of hire.

 Provide own hand tools required for regular maintenance.
