Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a highly skilled Senior Materials Engineer to join our team for major infrastructure works in Qatar.</div><div> 
</div><div>The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PWA standards, materials compliance, and site-based quality control.</div><div></div><div> 
We envisage success in this role to include;</div><ul><li>
Review, verify, and approve materials submittals, method statements, and suppliers in line with project specifications and Ashghal Approved Vendor List requirements.</li><li>
Oversee and participate in site and laboratory testing of construction materials (asphalt, concrete, aggregates, soils, etc.).</li><li>
Ensure all delivered materials comply with QCS 2014/2022, project specs, and relevant international standards.</li><li>
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and third-party laboratories to ensure accurate testing, sampling, and certification.</li><li>
Maintain complete records of test results, inspections, NCRs, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.</li><li>
Review and interpret test reports promptly and provide recommendations to the project management team.</li><li>
Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive measures when non-compliance is identified.</li><li>
Support the construction team with expert input on materials selection, durability, and suitability based on site conditions.</li><li>
In case of any discrepancies in the specifications or during the material approval process, coordination with PWA Materials Specialists to seek their recommendations and advice, resolve material-related issues, and recommend alternative solutions when necessary</li><li>
Conduct inspections of delivered materials and ensure approval prior to use on site.</li></ul>

Qualifications:

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 14 years experience in Drainage and Utility projects with at least 5+ years in Qatar, partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.</div>

Proven track record on PWA road or infrastructure projects (mandatory).</li><li>
UPDA/MME registration is mandatory.</li><li>
Strong understanding of QCS standards, Ashghal materials procedures, and international testing standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO).</li><li>
