Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Acquaint yourself with all new and established patients, providing plan/setting expectations for visit and guide patients to examination rooms</li><li>
Assist the physician with documentation of the patients&rsquo; medical record</li><li>
Accompanies the physician into the exam room to transcribe the history of the examination as given by the patient and the physician</li><li>
Under the direction of the physician, transcribes the impression and plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and orders</li><li>
Documents and aids in any procedural set that may be performed by the physician</li><li>
Document all history and testing information accurately and consistently</li><li>
Summarize all exam details from physician into patients&rsquo; electronic chart, including but not limited to: proper charting of examination, additions to chief complaint, physician assessment and recommendations for treatment</li><li>
Other duties as assigned or directed by your supervisor</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience as a Medical Scribe is required. Ophthalmology and retina experience preferred.</li><li>
You should be able to communicate professionally, be comfortable working in a medical environment, be highly organized, have a strong customer service background, possess excellent computer and organizational skills, and champion a welcoming/friendly demeanor</li><li>

<li>Ensure that accurate procedure coding/charges for all procedures/drugs for all patients and correct diagnosis codes are used.</li>

<li>Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) certification is preferred, but not required</li> 
</ul>
SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
<ul>
<li>Requires proficient keyboarding skills, use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and image management system</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook</li>
<li>Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications</li></ul> 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25&ndash;50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity&mdash;including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus&mdash;is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.</li></ul>
