Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.

Primary responsibilities will include:

<li>Produce drawings and documents using SOLIDWORKS software.</li>
<li>Perform engineering design calculations.</li>
<li>Work with plant personnel to collect project information and communicate findings both orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Work as a team member on various projects.</li>
<li>Design and produce 3D printed fixtures for winding and testing.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology and 3 &ndash; 5 years of experience with general mechanical or electrical design and drafting projects. SOLIDWORKS experience is required.

 Your Role as a Mechanical Designer/Drafter: 
As part of our design team, you will:

Design and maintain layouts, cut sheets, and drawings for high-quality steel and aluminum gate products</li><li>
Convert product specifications, photos, and notes into detailed drawings for both sales and manufacturing teams</li><li>
Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the manufacturing process</li><li>
Turn sales orders into work orders using our ERP system</li><li>
Create nest layouts for plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting processes</li><li>

Summary:

<li>Revise and update drawings based on engineering feedback, field conditions, and client requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain organized drawing submittals and revision control through CAD/PDM systems.</li>

<li>Proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel, AutoCAD, and Revit required.</li>
