The Mechanical Engineering Intern will gain hands on experience supporting mechanical maintenance and reliability activities in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is designed for mechanical engineering students seeking real world exposure to rotating equipment, piping systems, and maintenance execution within a continuous process plant. The intern will work closely with experienced maintenance and engineering professionals to observe and support shop and field activities while developing an understanding of how mechanical systems support safe, reliable chemical operations.
<br>Key Responsibilities
<br><ul>
<li>Observe and assist with mechanical maintenance shop and field activities, including fabrication, pipefitting, welding, and mechanical assembly</li>
<li>Support field removal and installation of piping systems and rotating equipment</li>
<li>Assist with maintenance activities involving pumps, seals, couplings, bearings, and other mechanical components, including:</li>
<li>Pump assembly and disassembly</li>
<li>Seal removal and replacement</li>
<li>Equipment replacements</li>
<li>Support maintenance planners and engineers during post job reviews, including review of work execution, scope accuracy, and job plans</li>
<li>Participate in root cause analysis efforts to identify why work was delayed, incomplete, or unable to be executed as designed</li>
<li>Develop an understanding of mechanical equipment criticality and reliability within a chemical plant</li>
<li>Assist in other areas of the jobsite as business needs require</li>
<li>Follow all plant safety, environmental, and operational procedures</li>
</ul>
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of CADD, the CADD Technician will be responsible for producing various Land Survey Map deliverables for DDC capital construction projects including Topographical/Property Line, Damage/Acquisition, Highway/Sewer Plan and Profile maps using AutoCAD and Carlson or Civil 3D applications. The CADD Technician will also review all completed maps for accuracy, completeness, and conformity with established standards, and prepare project progress reports.<br>

Position</b></p><p>
Met Weld International (&quot;MWI&quot;) is seeking a mechanical or electrical intern for the 2026 spring semester to join the activities of its Engineering Department. This position reports to the Engineering Manager in our Altamont, NY facility.</p><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li>Review and revise drawings as needed based on feedback from engineers, internal customer requests, customers, or project managers.</li><li>
Maintain and organize drawing files, records, and design documentation.</li><li>
Verify measurements and specifications to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.

Junior or Senior currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university Engineering Program.

The Mechanical Design group is seeking a Mechanical Design Intern to join our team. As a member of the Mechanical Design Team you will be a driving force of innovation and helping build the future of electric vehicle charging.</p>

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint</b></h3>
<ul><li>As a Mechanical Design Intern, your responsibilities will include the full range of the product design process:
<ul><li>Design of prototype parts, test fixtures</li>
<li>Design of experiments and engineering validation testing</li>
<li>Documenting test results in reports and presenting findings to the broader organization</li>
<li>Prototype assembly</li>
<li>Creation of engineering documentation in the form of drawings and bills of material</li>
<li>Root cause and failure analysis</li>

<li>Proficient in advanced-level Solidworks 3D modeling skills. Experience with large assembly models and complex surface modeling techniques is preferred.</li>
