<div>POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center or landfill. Responsibilities may include such things as yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance and other related duties.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities to include such duties as:<ul><li>
Clean up work areas;</li><li>
Fuel vehicles and equipment;</li><li>
Clean track on track type and related equipment;</li><li>
Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up;</li><li>
Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pick up trucks, sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment, etc.;</li><li>
Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work;</li><li>
Install temporary wind fences, as required;</li><li>

*VALID DRIVERS LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION*As an ASPHALT PLANT LABORER, you&rsquo;ll be:&middot; Operating hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.&middot; Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.&middot; Helping equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary.&middot; Loading, unloading, or identifying building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.&middot; Perform site activities required of green certified construction/production practices, such as implementing waste management procedures, identifying materials for reuse, or installing erosion or sedimentation control mechanisms.&middot; Performing site clean-up.As an ASPHALT PLANT LABORER, you&rsquo;ll need:&middot; To be at least 18 years of age&middot; A high school diploma or equivalent&middot; Basic mathematical skills&middot; Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry.&middot; To demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.&middot; Reliable transportation.
