Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Communication Specialist located either in our Anchorage or Kodiak, Alaska corporate office. The Communication Specialist will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality visual and written communications that strengthen our company&rsquo;s brand. Primary Duties &amp; Projects:
Communications Design &amp; Development

Communications Planning
<ul><li>Contribute to overall communications strategy and provide creative input during campaign planning.</li>
<li>Assist the Communications Director with updating and implementing the Afognak Corporate Communications Plan.</li>

Copy Editing &amp; Content Support
<ul><li>Assist the Communications Director with identifying key information and developing a rotating social media content plan</li>
<li>Coordinate with Shareholder Services and Lands &amp; Natural Resources to support Shareholder Communications as needed</li>
<li>Assist the Communications Director with identifying key information and developing a rotating social media content plan</li>
<li>Manage a monthly communications schedule for dissemination of key external communications in coordination with the Communications Director and other key departments to ensure fresh social media content (including Facebook and LinkedIn) and Afognak website.</li>
<li>Edit and proofread materials, web content, and internal communications for clarity, consistency, and brand voice.</li>
<li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain accuracy and tone across communication channels.</li>
<li>Coordinate with photographers, videographers, community organizations, and others to refresh stock images and video content.</li>
<li>Assist with photo and video editing and copy writing for various communications.</li>
</ul>
Project Management
<ul><li>Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.</li>
<li>Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., photographers, printers, production companies) as needed.</li>
</ul>
Perform other duties as assigned.
Payrate: $68,000 to $73,000 Annually 
 
 
Job Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Media Production, or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of full-time, in-house experience in communications, video editing, or graphic design (freelance experience not applicable).</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).</li>

 The selected candidate must develop and execute projects from concept through production, utilizing best practices in digital communications, graphic design, videography, photography, production, and immersive technologies such as AR/VR for educational purposes.
