The Medical Receptionist is responsible for administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, and performing front-desk tasks. Ideal candidates have good problem-solving and analytical skills, an ability to work as a team member and are well-organized with strong attention to detail.
This is an hourly, Full-time 40 hour per week position. This position requires legal authorization to work in the US.

Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette.</li><li>
Experience with copiers/fax machines/scanners</li><li>
Insurance and insurance terminology knowledge</li><li>

Assist Medical Assistant&rsquo;s with Patient calls</li><li>
Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time by scheduling appointments in person, email or by telephone</li><li>
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information</li><li>
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims</li><li>
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information</li><li>
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes</li><li>
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area</li><li>
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed</li><li>
Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment</li><li>
Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized</li><li>
Maintains an efficient schedule/scrubbing the schedule/ works the wait list/Follow-up list</li><li>
Enters all Insurance information proficiently without errors</li><li>
Call patients that No-Show or Cancel-keeps documentation list is being Followed up on</li><li>
Verifies patients insurance coverage</li><li>
End of day balance/end of day close of collected funds</li><li>
EMR/ ECW/scanning/word/excel/ spreadsheets/tracking logs experience</li></ul>
Requirements - Strong Communication skills, Strong team-Building skills, Ability to Multi-task, flexibility, Telephone skills, customer service skills, time management, organization, attention to detail, scheduling, word processing, professionalism, focus on quality, knowledge of basic computer software programs and knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred - BA/BS in a relevant field, 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist, 1 year experience in Dermatology, Current and valid documentation as a Certified (Registered) Medical Receptionist or working towards gaining certification.
