Serves as a mentor and trainer to newly hired Resident Assistants.</p><p>Role: To provide assistance to the resident in maintaining their highest level of functional independence and psycho-social wellness. To provide assistance to the Wellness Director and Wellness Nurse in the administration of medications and treatments to residents.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures and as instructed by your supervisor and/or the Wellness Director, as well as other members of the Leadership Team.</li><li>Assist with medication administration and assistance in accordance with regulations and protocol.</li><li>Perform special treatments as instructed.</li><li>Document medication administration and treatments within MAR.</li><li>Report all adverse reactions, medication errors and resident refusal of medications to</li></ul><p>Wellness Director or Wellness Nurse.</p><ul><li>Perform vital signs and monitoring as ordered and instructed.</li><li>Assist residents as needed with activities of daily living such as dental and mouth care, bathing, dressing/undressing, hair care nail care, shaving, continence management, use of prosthetic devices, securing transportation, shopping, making and keeping appointments, use of the telephone, correspondence, social, exercise and leisure activities, ambulation and dining.</li><li>Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous waste and quality assurance procedures.</li><li>Report all changes in the resident&rsquo;s condition and skin breakdown to the Wellness Director.</li><li>Assist in the coordination of effective communication among Resident Assistants, residents and families.</li><li>Maintain liaison with residents and family members.</li><li>Assist in the ongoing supervision of Resident Assistants through training, mentoring and coaching.</li><li>Assist in the development of work schedules and assignments to ensure staff accountability and task completion.</li><li>Follow work assignments and/or work schedules in completing and performing tasks.</li><li>Cooperate with other departmental staff to meet the needs of the residents.</li><li>Report all complaints, grievances and instances of abuse to the Wellness Director.</li><li>Report all occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials and hazardous chemical to the Wellness Director.</li><li>Participate and receive report from prior shift.</li><li>Assist residents as needed with activities of daily living such as dental and mouth care, bathing, dressing/undressing, hair care nail care, shaving, continence management, use of prosthetic devices, securing transportation, shopping, making and keeping appointments, use of the telephone, correspondence, social, exercise and leisure activities, ambulation and dining.</li><li>Serve meals and assist in the clearing of tables under the direction of the Dietary Manager.</li><li>Implement Joyful Moments activities as assigned and instructed by the Joyful Moments Director.</li><li>Report needed repairs and safety concerns to the Environmental Services Director.</li><li>Answer all emergency response system calls immediately.</li><li>Provide post-mortem care as instructed.</li><li>Work in concert and harmony with other members of the team.</li><li>Communicate with family members, visitors and volunteers in a customer service-oriented manner.</li><li>Complete all paperwork as required.</li><li>Participates in Wellness Meetings.</li><li>Assists in doing laundry as needed.</li></ul><p>Educational/Vocational Requirements:</p><ul><li>Successful completion of an approved medication administration course.</li><li>Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.</li><li>Successful completion of CBRF required training: Fire Safety, Standard Precautions, First Aide and Choking.</li></ul><p>General Requirements:</p><ul><li>Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.</li><li>Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals within the community.</li><li>Attends and participates in mandated yearly training programs as well as all required meetings.</li><li>Must be able to manage time efficiently so as to achieve goals.</li><li>Adheres to all Human Resources policies, procedures, and code of conduct.</li><li>Respects confidentiality of information and Resident&rsquo;s rights.</li><li>Performs job in a safe manner, using proper body mechanics, infection control, etc.</li></ul><p>Pay: From $19.00 per hour</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>

</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with pharmacies and insurance companies to ensure medication is available when needed</li><li>
Review and interpret medication history data from all available sources, including the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)</li><li>
Processing bulk electronic prescriptions and evaluating in the internal system for completeness and accuracy
</li><li>Recording medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations</li><li>
Determine the need for Prior Authorizations and process as required
</li><li>Troubleshoot these issues when necessary

Proven work experience in a pharmacy, medical office, or hospital or similar role</li><li>
A pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or a licensed practical nurse (LPN) / licensed vocational nurse (LVN) license</li><li>
Familiarity with the medication prescribing life cycle</li><li>
