<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Essential Functions</h3><ul><li>
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, PET scanning, cardiac stress lab functions, and radiopharmacy tasks as required.</li><li>
If dual certified as RT(CT) or NMTCB(CT), perform diagnostic CT imaging per guidelines or physician order.</li><li>
Exercise professional judgment in all services, maintaining a demeanor that supports quality care.</li><li>
Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.</li><li>
Adhere to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.</li><li>
Conduct all nuclear medicine dynamic, static, and functional procedures required for specific studies.</li><li>
Perform SPECT and SPECT CT imaging per guidelines or physician order.</li><li>
Perform PET imaging on a rotational basis as outlined in written procedures or directed by interpreting physician.</li><li>
Complete all computer acquisition, processing, and documentation as required.</li><li>
Perform quality control on all Nuclear Medicine instrumentation per written procedures or manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>
Order and administer radiopharmaceuticals, including positron emitters, as required.</li><li>
Maintain records in compliance with Florida Department of Health, Radiation Control.</li><li>
Perform all safety checks as outlined by the Florida Department of Health, Radiation Control.</li><li>
Perform venipuncture and evaluate IV access for radiopharmaceutical and medication administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. If dual certified, may also administer contrast per guidelines or physician order.</li><li>
Prepare radiopharmaceutical doses, calculate exact patient dosages as required by law, and maintain records.</li><li>
Assist in the administration of therapeutic radioactive materials with an authorized user.</li><li>
Participate in the corporate ALARA Radiation Safety Program.</li><li>
Ensure safety of all customers.</li><li>
Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable federal, state, and local standards.</li><li>
Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Education / Training</h3><ul><li>
Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Licensure / Certification</h3><div>
Must meet ONE of the following:</div><ul><li>
Current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) 
OR</li><li>
Current certification as an (ARRT) (N) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine</li></ul><div>
Must meet ALL of the following:</div><ul><li>
Current Florida State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist</li><li>

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you&rsquo;ll perform nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and theragnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist to help diagnose and treat disease. Administer radiopharmaceuticals and explain exams clearly to patients to ensure comfort and safety.</li><li>
Collaborate with Radiologists, nurses, and imaging team members to provide timely and accurate patient care.</li><li>
