Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents&rsquo; dignity and promoting their independence</li><li>
Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents&rsquo; rights</li><li>
Maintain and document proper records of care</li><li>
Immediately report changes in resident&rsquo;s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents&rsquo; whereabouts unknown, etc.</li><li>
Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities</li></ul>
Resident Care Aide Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred</li><li>
Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law</li><li>
1 year working in a care-giving capacity preferred</li><li>
Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required</li></ul>

<li>Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; Observe residents for safety and reports any and all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty</li>
<li>Assisting residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to: assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry</li>
<li>Always observe and uphold resident rights; assist residents to and from meals; Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner</li>
<li>Must be willing to work with and provide assistance to other staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents</li>
<li>Documents pertinent information in residents charts and in other specified locations (e.g.; alert charting and incident reports)</li>
<li>Communicates with physicians, via fax and telephone</li>
<li>Keep environment safe and clean for residents</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor</li>
<li>Carry and posses a working knowledge of community communication system and EHR.</li>
