Midday Dog Walker Responsibilities:

<li>Must be available for a minimum of the same 2 consecutive hours between 10AM &amp; 3PM Monday-Friday</li>
<li>Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role</li>
<li>Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan</li>
<li>Must be extremely detail oriented</li>
<li>Able to follow detailed instructions</li>
<li>Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable</li>
<li>Must be timely and punctual</li>
<li>Must be able to self-manage</li>

The pet care professionals employed by Zen Pet Care travel to our clients' homes to perform the duties outlined by our customers.This job is ideal for working professionals with flexible schedules and other sources of income; retirees and stay-at-home parents who don't need to work; and college students who still live at home.We provide two types of services:Dog walking: one visit per day, Monday through Friday, to visit and walk dogs while their owners are at work;Cat sitting: while clients are away we visit their home one to two times per day to feed and care for their pet(s).What is essential to work with Zen Pet Care?You must:<ul><li>Have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.</li><li>Have daily access to the Internet and the ability to communicate effectively by returning emails and phone calls promptly.</li><li>Live within and be familiar with the service area.</li><li>Commit to at least six months.</li><li>Be able to provide professional references.</li><li>Be willing to submit to a background check.</li><li>Complete Pet First Aid Training. We will not be able to consider those who are only available a few days per week or for only certain hours of the 10-3 time block.Cat Sitters must be available to work at least two weekends per month and either Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day AND either Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day.SummaryThose employed by Zen Pet Care can be classified as either a Midday Dog Walker, a Cat Sitter or both. This is based on your availability and what services you're interested in offering to our clients.The Zen Pet Care service area is broken into towns. Each Sitter/Walker is assigned to a specific area or areas. To start, we will plug you in where we can until you build up your client base in your area.We keep our sitters' assignments as close to their &quot;home base&quot; as possible to increase their profits. The usual travel distance is 2.5 to 8 miles with a max distance of 10 miles, unless they have agreed to travel further.Midday Walkers build their regular schedules by either inheriting the walks of another sitter who is no longer able to offer their services to Zen Pet Care or by adding on new clients that sign up for service. Our regular midday clients retain the same &quot;walker&quot; until their relationship with Zen Pet Care ends or until the walker is no longer employed by Zen Pet Care. Our walkers visit their same clients in their route Monday through Friday based on the clients' booking schedule.Cat Sitters are chosen as the &quot;primary sitter&quot; for a client by the service areas that they cover and by their availability submitted to the Zen Pet Care database.
