Job Summary Delta Sports Group is seeking energetic and dedicated Sports Coaches and Educational Mentors to inspire and guide kids through learning sports skills and educational programs. This role is responsible for overseeing after school sports modules and educational tutoring for grades K - 5, to include football, basketball, soccer, track and field. In this role, coaches will foster a positive environment that promotes physical activity, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. Your passion for sports and education will help children develop essential skills, on and off the field. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a dynamic, supportive setting.Responsibilites<ul><li>Inspect and prepare fields / play areas.</li><li>Set up and take down sports equipment.</li><li>Take roll and check in students.</li><li>Create teams and maintain an equitable environment.</li><li>Supervise programs and report all incidents to supervisor.</li><li>Lead dynamic warm-ups in a fun manner.</li><li>Coach students in the various sports throughout the academic year.</li><li>Act as the official / referee / scorekeeper.</li><li>Tutor kids in various elementary school work (at specific locations).</li><li>Foster a positive environment that encourages participation, sportsmanship, and confidence-building among students of diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and behavioral observations to monitor each child's growth and needs.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Minimum Skills, Education &amp; Certification<ul><li>Proven experience as a sports coach or physical education instructor with knowledge of coaching techniques across multiple sports such as basketball, football, soccer, or track and field.</li><li>Prior team sports experience preferred.</li><li>High school diploma or GED (minimum).</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred.</li><li>Personal training or strength coach certification preferred.</li><li>Current CPR / AED / First Aid.</li><li>1 year experience training / coaching / working with youth.</li><li>Strong background in teaching or tutoring children with an emphasis on behavior management and social skills development.</li><li>Disciplined work ethic, highly responsible.</li><li>Competent leader and mentor, encouraging to others.</li><li>Thrives in opportunities for feedback and growth.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with students of all ages while fostering a supportive learning environment.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to motivate children and collaborate with team members effectively.</li><li>Prior customer service experience.</li><li>Successful track record at prior jobs.</li><li>Enthusiastic, high energy.</li><li>Strong communication, time management and follow up skills.</li><li>Criminal clearance including fingerprints and background check.</li></ul>Educational Mentoring Requirements:Graduation from high school or equivalent, along with one of the following:1. All coaches must complete Basketball Tots Coach Training before leading classes independently.

 Coaches must successfully complete the Basketball Tots Coaching Certification through Pure
 Ambition prior to being assigned independent classes.

Equipment Provided</h1>
All Basketball Tots coaches receive a Basketball Tots equipment kit, which includes:<ul><li>Mini basketballs</li><li>Cones and training markers</li><li>Portable hoops (when required)</li><li>Age‑appropriate training equipment</li></ul>
