We have an exciting opportunity for a talented researcher experienced in both engineering (mechanical, microfluidics) and assay development.</p><p>We are seeking Postdoctoral Scientist - Point of Care Diagnostics (full-time position) <i>with experience in electrochemistry </i><i><b>,</b></i> <i>microfluidics assay development for the detection of infectious agents and/or host biomarkers</i>. Successful candidate will join a team of scientists, engineers, biologists, clinicians and computational scientists to build point-of-care sample processing devices that can be used in remote settings, and using them in concert with portable sequencing instruments. Nature of experience:</b></h2><ul><li>
Thorough in immunology and flowcytometry workflows. Experience in cell sorting is an added advantage.</li><li>
Working knowledge and experience in molecular biology workflows such as high-throughput molecular cloning, plasmid vector construction, PCRs, Restriction digestion, Ligation, Transformation, Mini and maxi preps, sequencing</li><li>
Ability to provide technical trouble shooting to resolve scientific problems.</li><li>
Proficient in software or platforms for flowcytometry and data analysis, FlowJo, FCSExpress, MS Office and statistical software such as GraphPad Prism.</li><li>
Theoretical or practical experience in antibody development platforms is desirable.</li><li>
Project or work experience in support of relevant skills such as publications, project reports or thesis work.</li></ul><p>
