 SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The responsibilities of a Mortgage Loan Originator are to self-generate, negotiate, and coordinate the origination and closing of mortgage loans in compliance with Arbor Bank&rsquo;s lending policies and procedures. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

<li>Establishes, develops, and maintains client referral relationships with Realtors, Builders, Developers, clients, and other self-generated purchase-focused referral sources to develop new business and/or retain existing business.
</li><li>Responsible for the overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing, including but not limited to counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers.
</li><li>Maintains a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
</li><li>Stays current on all trends, changes, and developments in the local real estate market.
</li><li>Stays current on all guidelines and regulations in the mortgage industry.</li>
<li>Collects and analyzes information regarding the customer&rsquo;s income, assets, investments, or debts.</li>
<li>Cultivates and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of current mortgage products offered by Arbor Bank and works with customers to determine which financial products best meet their needs and financial circumstances.</li>

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>
Sources mortgage leads and builds a mortgage business network by establishing relationships with realtors, builders, and developers.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. This position requires compliance with the SAFE Act Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System &amp; Registry (NMLS Registry) required upon hire. Good standing with the NMLS Registry must be maintained. Valid driver&rsquo;s license is required to travel to meet with prospects and customers.
