<p><b>Overview</b><br/>Looking for a diesel mechanic to keep our growing fleet on the road. We are a small trucking/landscaping company with triaxle dump trucks and other supportive heavy equipment. This is a lead mechanic position who will manage and perform basic route maintenance as well as any necessary truck and equipment repairs. Work weeks are mostly Monday - Friday with flexible hours.</p><p><b>Responsibilities Include</b></p><ul><li>Manage all aspects of repairs and general truck maintenance.</li><li>Conduct routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, and air brake inspections to prevent breakdowns</li><li>Keep records of maintenance on each power unit and track maintenance intervals</li><li>Perform basic and advanced repairs to keep trucks on the road. <li><p>Support parts inventory tracking, ordering, and monthly audits</p>

<li><p>Ensure all work meets federal and state safety requirements</p>

<li><p>Occasionally deliver/pick up fuel tanks to client sites</p>

<li><p>Assist with warehouse duties and driver deliveries as needed</p>

</ul><p><b>What We're Looking For</b></p>
<ul>
<li><p>Experience with diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical diagnostics</p>
</li>
<li><p>Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulatory compliance</p>
</li>
<li><p>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools</p>
</li>
<li><p>Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking</p>
</li>
<li><p>CDL or willingness to obtain (if delivery assistance is needed)</p>
</li>
<li><p>Forklift/material handling certification a plus</p>
</li>
<li><p>Communicate maintenance needs and concerns clearly</p>
</li>
<li><p>Represent the company professionally at all times</p>
</li>
<li><p>Follow all company policies, including uniform and safety requirements</p>
</li>
<li><p>Willingness to work overtime or adjust schedule as needed</p>
</li>
