Serves as Motor Vehicle Dispatcher in the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP). Responsibilities include utilization, scheduling vehicles for maintenance, and vehicle walk around safety inspections and inventory control of all assigned General Services Administration (GSA) non-tactical vehicles (NTVs). Ensures dispatch operations/procedures are followed as outlined in current standard operating procedures (SOP) and regulations and that all motor pool missions are completed in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Schedules and dispatches vehicles (i.e., sedans, vans, buses, and trucks) to accommodate requests for transportation services submitted by activities. Issues keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers. Records time of departure, destination, cargo and expected time of return. Investigates overdue vehicles. Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing trip tickets, keys, and credit cards.</li>
<li>Utilizes GCSS-Army to dispatch vehicles and to license personnel in accordance with what their state license allows them to operate.</li>
<li>Shall ensure that any contractor or non-contractor involved in an accident and damage be reported to Police and COR, in accordance with AR 385-10, and GSA reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Utilizes the GSA Drive-Thru website to verify vehicle information, fuel economy, customer information, mileage information, and billing information, etc.</li>
<li>Checks driver's licenses in accordance with (IAW) regulatory guidance prior to issue of vehicles.</li>
<li>Utilizes standardized systems to process dispatching requirements. Maintains vehicle accountability, receives new requests, and processes documentation required for dispatching to new activities. Maintains vehicle utilization records using daily dispatch documents or automated spread sheets.</li>
<li>Coordinates scheduled/unscheduled vehicular maintenance of NTVs and provides for replacement whenever possible with a general dispatch vehicle.</li>
<li>Maintains key control and keeps spare keys for all vehicles and equipment in the inventory.</li>
<li>Approves off-post dispatch within a hundred (100) mile radius. May issue and control credit cards according to established procedures.</li>
</ul>
Opens, closes, performs check of all vehicles at closing and secure the Motor Pool compound.

Performs other related non-exempt duties as required or assigned which may include but are not limited to inventory, reports, verbal information, schedules and other duties related to the operations of the Motor Pool.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
