Our Cardiovascular Interventional suite offers the complete integration of leading-edge imaging and technology to diagnose and treat patients with cardiovascular disease and other conditions using minimally invasive alternatives to surgical procedures. Our &lsquo;Suite&rdquo; team consists of expert Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Radiology technologists and Registered Nurses collaborating to provide innovative personalized care to our community.</div>
Responsibilities:

Provides basic nursing care, including partial and/or complete direct personal hygienic care to patients (i.e.: bathing, feeding, diversional activity) and assists patients with activities of daily living.</li><li>
Provides partial and/or complete direct personal hygienic care to patients.</li><li>
Correctly makes occupied and unoccupied beds.</li><li>
Assists with the elimination needs of the patient while providing privacy and dignity.</li><li>
Correctly feeds patients.</li><li>
Performs tasks to maintain patient mobility.</li><li>
Accurately performs simple wound care and ostomy care.</li><li>
Correctly empties drainage bags and maintains accurate intake and output documentation.</li><li>
Accurately performs incentive spirometry and pulse oximetry.</li><li>
Provides appropriate interventions for pain as directed by nurse and reports outcomes.</li><li>
Correctly sets up and maintains oxygen equipment.</li><li>
Accurately maintains feeding tubes.</li><li>
Accurately collects and documents patient data (TPR, I&amp;O, specimen collection, height and weight) utilizing learned technical skills under the direction of the RN. Accurately documents patient data and comfort rounds in Wellsoft system.</li><li>
Accurately obtains and documents temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressure.</li><li>
Collects blood specimens through venipuncture and/or capillary finger stick.</li><li>
Accurately performs bedside glucose monitoring, and calibration of Accucheck and enters data.</li><li>
Retrieves blood from the Blood Bank.</li><li>
Performs post mortem care.</li><li>
Participates in preparation and intervention of diagnostic or therapeutic patient care with practitioner.</li><li>
Follows CentraState policy regarding restraint application, documentation and observation.</li><li>
Properly performs electrocardiograms.</li><li>
Performs pain (5th vital sign) screening as indicated, notifies the RN immediately of patient's report of pain or discomfort, and provides appropriate non-pharmacologic interventions as directed by RN.</li><li>
Accurately measures and documents intake and output.</li><li>
Reports patient intake and output to nurse.</li><li>
Correctly identifies patients and safely transports them to and from the operating room, holding area, or post anesthesia care area.
</li><li>Helps turnover intervention suites.
</li><li>Assists in positioning, lifting and transferring patients as directed.
</li><li>Assists with case set up for assigned rooms.
</li><li>Cleans designated supply areas and adheres to Infection Control and departmental guideline in doing so.
</li><li>Cleans designated equipment in area assigned and adheres to guidelines.
</li><li>Assists with general upkeep of area to provide safe, clean, organized environment.
</li><li>Performs between case clean-up of anesthesia equipment and maintains changing circuits and tubing.
</li><li>Communicates with Sterile Processing to obtain supplies as needed.
</li><li>Obtains necessary equipment, supplies and positioning aides for cases.
</li><li>Restocks sterile supplies in storage areas and rooms as needed.
</li><li>Returns clean equipment to equipment storage area.
</li><li>Checks and stocks solutions, rotating inventory as needed.
</li><li>Orders and maintains adequate par levels for all anesthesia supplies and equipment.</li></ul>

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 
Work Experience:<ul><li>
One year PCT experience in an acute-care hospital setting or out-patient surgery center required OR</li><li>
Successful completion of an approved PCT training course required OR</li><li>
Currently enrolled in a degreed nursing program AND completed an introductory nursing course such as Nursing 101 or equivalent OR completed a semester of a school sponsored clinical rotation in an acute setting required</li></ul>
Licenses and Certifications:
BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
EKG certification preferred.
EMT certification preferred.<ul><li>Glucose, Phlebotomy, and EKG certifications are provided by CentraState during orientation.</li></ul>

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking Patient Care Technicians in the Surgery Specialty Services Unit (2RC) to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of Registered Nurses. This unit is part of the Medical Surgical Services (MSS) Division.
 
The Adult Acute Care Unit is a 30-bed, medical surgical unit. We serve a variety of patient populations including the Family Medicine service along with specialized surgical patients. The surgical patients include otolaryngology (ENT), oral surgery, and plastic reconstructive surgery. We are able to provide our patients with all private rooms, which allows for a more comfortable experience for both patients and their families. We have a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team that helps to provide excellent patient care to all patients on our unit. Our goal is to provide each patient an individualized care plan, and provide them the support and care they need and deserve.
 
On 2 JCP We Provide Care for Patients with These Conditions:

Under the guidance and direction of the Hospital Manager, Medical Directors, and Technician Supervisor, the Pharmacy and Inventory Technician is responsible for all tasks relating to the filling and dispensing of all patient medications (including controlled substances) and preventatives. Purchasing responsibilities include maintaining inventory, ordering, receiving and distributing supplies, while being mindful of expenses.
The Pharmacy Technician maintains controlled drug inventory and performs regular audits according to VCA&rsquo;s policies. Additional duties may be added as necessary but will at least include assisting veterinary technicians with triaging phone calls, packing laboratory samples, and some floor work. Responsibilities must be performed while having an eye for detail and the ability to anticipate the supply needs for the hospital.
Compensation: $25 - $30 / hr based on skill set and experience.
Schedule: Full time, days, evenings, and weekends.

Your Role as the Certified Medication Technician (CMT): 
Skilled Nursing
 
Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate resident care within our skilled nursing community.
 
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting residents’ health, safety, and quality of life by administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and collaborating closely with licensed nursing staff in a clinical environment.
 
Summary: 
The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) is responsible for administering prescribed medications and supporting residents with activities of daily living in accordance with state regulations, physician orders, and Americare policies.
 
This role works as part of the interdisciplinary care team to promote resident safety, accurate documentation, and person-centered care in a skilled nursing setting.
 
This role may also be known as: 
Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Medication Technician (CMT), Med Aide, Med Tech, or Medication Assistant.
 
What You’ll Do: 
<ul>
<li>Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff</li>
<li>Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations</li>
<li>Monitor residents for medication responses and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns</li>
<li>Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility</li>
<li>Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff</li>
<li>Take and record vital signs and report abnormalities per facility policy</li>
<li>Identify medication shortages and immediately report concerns to the supervisor</li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered</li>
<li>Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed</li>
<li>Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required</li>
</ul>
What You Bring: 
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 16 years of age</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Completion of a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) course approved by the State of Missouri</li>
<li>Active CMT certification in good standing, with annual updates as required</li>
</ul>

<li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety</li>
<li>Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care</li>
<li>Clear communication skills and professionalism</li>
</ul>
Physical Demands: 
<ul>
<li>Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed</li>
<li>Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance</li>
<li>Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.</li>
</ul>
Safety Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Follow proper resident care procedures, including two-person lifts when required</li>
<li>Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens</li>
<li>Report work-related injuries immediately and complete required documentation</li>
<li>Participate in company drug testing procedures</li>
</ul>
Work Environment: 
This role is performed in an indoor skilled nursing environment with appropriate lighting and ventilation. Duties may occasionally include accompanying residents to outdoor or community activities as appropriate.
