</li><li>Translate policies, programs, or technical information into clear and accessible public facing content.
</li><li>Collaborate with program staff, communications professionals, leadership, and partner agencies to gather information and ensure message accuracy.
</li><li>Support and contribute to HSC and DSS public awareness campaigns.
</li><li>Plan, coordinate, and maintain content calendars for digital platforms.
</li><li>Create graphics, infographics, and video content.
</li><li>Attend events to capture videos, photos, and other media for social platforms and publications.
</li><li>Ensure all content complies with state brand guidelines, accessibility standards (e.g., ADA/Section 508), and legal requirements.
</li><li>Assist with emergency or rapid-response communications as needed.
</li><li>Provide backup support to Communications Team members.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.

</li><li>Frequent collaboration with staff across divisions and with leadership.
</li><li>Occasional after hours or short turnaround work during urgent communications needs.
</li></ul>The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
<ul><li>bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience;
</li><li>strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities;
</li><li>experience with video editing and/or data visualization;
</li><li>ability to quickly understand government programs, policies, and terminology;
</li><li>experience with web content management systems, social media platforms, and graphic design tools;
</li><li>exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
</li><li>ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines;
</li><li>strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership.
</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to:
<ul><li>publish and design software;
</li><li>video editing software;
</li><li>photography and camera operation;
</li><li>Adobe Photoshop and related tools;
</li><li>social media management platforms;
</li><li>written communication best practices;
</li><li>principles of internal and external communications.
