The NDT Technician is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing using liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle methods in compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including FARs, RSM, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives. This role involves evaluating inspection data, interpreting test results, and accurately documenting findings using approved documentation procedures. The technician works under general supervision and must perform duties with the technical support of a certified NDT Level III.
We are looking for a proactive team player interested in professional growth. This role involves structured cross-training, allowing you to develop a deep understanding of our operations and become proficient in multiple, interdependent areas.
What You Will Do:<ul><li>
Perform NDT component inspections</li><li>
Set up, operate equipment, and where applicable, check and adjust/calibrate equipment and test process medium as needed to ensure valid test results.</li><li>
Perform routine service throughout the assigned area for upkeep, and ensure equipment operates properly.</li></ul><ul><li>
Evaluate the results of all inspections performed using NDT processes to the level of certification held.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of inspection for all NDT processes.</li><li>
Perform process checks/audits on all materials and equipment used in NDT.</li><li>
 Obtain and maintain Level II certification in at least one NDT discipline, demonstrating ongoing technical competency and adherence to industry standards.</li><li>
Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.</li><li>
Assist Cell Leader/Ops Tech in meeting production goals and objectives.</li><li>
Actively participates in departmental cross-training to support team flexibility and ensure smooth operations based on business needs</li><li>

Qualifications We Require:<ul><li>
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience</li><li>

What You Will Do:
As a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) specializing in NDT/NDE, you will guide metals technicians on intricate projects that demand advanced testing expertise. You will oversee other technicians on assignments, make technical decisions related to project timelines, and carry out laboratory and metals testing tasks with minimal oversight. Your role will involve fieldwork, which may include safely ascending steel structures like buildings, cell towers, and water tanks to heights over 200 feet, using fall protection gear and personal fall arrest systems.<ul><li>
Field Operations: You perform inspections and utilize non-destructive testing techniques to maintain high-quality standards. A large portion of your field inspection time is dedicated to non-destructive testing (NDT) activities, such as ultrasonic testing (UT) of welds and/or magnetic particle testing (MT) of welds.
</li><li>Assignment Management: You coordinate testing assignments across various projects, ensuring each one succeeds.
</li><li>Equipment Maintenance: Keep testing equipment operational and calibrated; this may involve managing field and lab equipment inventories, maintaining formal calibration records, and participating in quality system audits.

<ul><li>He should be aware about the care required for in line instruments, precision valves, pipe supports and connected equipment during fabrication, welding, installation, heat treatment, pressure testing and flushing of the piping.
</li><li>Knowledge of non-metallic piping, its materials, fabrication, inspection and testing. Knowledge of the contents of the test pack before leak testing and the significance of each content is compulsory.
</li><li>Knowledge of safety requirements during pressure testing is a must.
</li><li>Thorough knowledge of the contents of tie in packages. Knowledge of hot tie in and cold tie in packages.</li><li>Review of related procedures and maintaining of inspection records.</li></ul></div></div>
