UAB Medicine is home to Alabama&rsquo;s only Level IV Epilepsy Center, the highest designation available from the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. Nurses on this unit have a unique opportunity to work with a comprehensive range of advanced technology and the latest treatments, including continuous video electroencephalograph (EEG) monitoring. Video EEG captures and records brain activity to accurately detect and classify seizure events, which is critical for providing personalized, appropriate, and precise care for our patients. POSITION SUMMARY</b></p><ul><li>
Performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Position provides direct patient care limited to non-invasive procedures, unless specifically certified in phlebotomy.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Education/Qualification</b></div><ul><li>
High School diploma</li><li>
At least six months of recent Hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience, which provided knowledge of basic patient-care activities related to Multi-skilled technician duties</li><li>
Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant Course, or two years of nursing school.</li></ul><div><b>
Skills</b></div><ul><li>
Fundamental computer skills and keyboard familiarity</li><li>
Able to speak and write English Fluently</li><li>
Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills</li><li>
