How You Will Impact Education</b></p>

Clean assigned areas:
</p><ul><li>Interior - Hallways, Restrooms, Offices, Classrooms, Multi-purpose Room, and any other area assigned by supervisor</li>
Exterior <li>- Perimeter of school building, parking lot, playground, windows, and any other area assigned by supervisor</li>
<li>Empty Trash from any and all trash receptacles.</li>
<li>Dust FF&amp;E, window sills, air vents and any other area assigned by supervisor.</li>
<li>Clean and sterilize restroom facilities.</li>
<li>Clean up bodily messes including vomit, feces, urine, and blood in accordance with training.</li>
<li>Remove waste in cafeteria for breakfast and lunch.</li>
<li>Assist with cleaning cafeteria tables.</li>
<li>Keep cafeteria floors at an acceptable clean level.</li>
<li>Sterilize all high use areas to reduce the spread of bacteria and any other harmful agents.</li>
<li>Assist Head Custodian with cleaning projects or tasks.</li>
<li>Assist with the creation and aide in building preventative maintenance processes and monitoring systems for extended life of facility related components.</li>
<li>Travel may be required to nearby schools or warehouse/storage.</li>
<li>Participate, successfully, in the training programs offered to increase the individual's skill and proficiency related to the assignments.</li>
<li>Review current developments, literature and janitorial sources of information related to job responsibility.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to OSHA and maximum safety procedures.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as delegated by Supervisor.</li>
<li>Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies.</li>
<li>Director of Projects &amp; Facilities will assess the effectiveness annually with respect to the performance of specific responsibilities in coordination with school administration, maintenance coordinator and head custodian:</li>
<li>Must always carry hand-held radio while on school property if assigned by Supervisor.</li>
Must always stay on school property <li>- from beginning of work day until the end of the day, including lunch.</li>
<li>Assigned a 30-minute lunch break but the time of the lunch period will be changed accordingly to the school's needs. All Custodians are required to report and assist with all emergency situations as needed.</li>
<li>No Custodian is allowed to leave campus to run errands (personally or for the school) without permission from their Facilities Supervisor.</li>

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community recreation and environmental stewardship through hands-on custodial work.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 20 April &ndash; 30 September 2026; 7 Days Per Week;</li><li>Total Days Worked: 158</li><li>Maximum of 6 hours of work per day (plus 2 for evening spot check)</li><li>Custodian shall begin performing Initial Cleaning Services on 21 April and complete them on 24 April.</li></ul><p><b>PRIMARY CLEANING SERVICES:</b> Primary cleaning services and the frequency they are to be performed are listed for each type of facility cleaned and service performed. Custodian shall daily begin performing Primary Cleaning Services no later than 6AM and complete them by 12 NOON.</p><p>Exception: Primary cleaning services for all buildings and shelters shall be completed by 10AM.</p><p>Sugar Bottom Day Use Vault Restroom will be cleaned and locked on 01 May. Custodian shall begin performing Primary Cleaning Services on 01 May. Custodian shall ensure the Sugar Bottom Day Use Gate is opened at 6AM daily.</p><p><b>EVENING SPOT CHECK SERVICES</b>: Spot checks shall be performed on all buildings and</p><p>shelters between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Spot checks shall consist of inspecting buildings and shelters for malfunctions and correcting or reporting them as needed; restocking toilet paper, flushing soiled toilets and urinals, removing excess water and debris from floor that may be a safety hazard, emptying full trash cans and cleaning any unsanitary conditions.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred</li><li>Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning</li><li>Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is highly desirable</li><li>Basic facilities maintenance skills including minor repairs and painting are a plus</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward cleanliness and safety</li><li>Ability to work independently in outdoor and indoor environments under varying weather conditions</li><li>Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively</li><li>Embark on a rewarding career where your efforts directly enhance visitors&rsquo; experiences while preserving the natural beauty of our parks. Cleaning and maintaining high areas which may need dusting or cleaning such as; vents, duct covers, lights &amp; fixtures, beams, signs, columns, ceiling tile and televisions</li><li>
Cleans and maintains offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, escalators and Slot Machines other work areas</li><li>
Clean parking lot: pick up trash and cigarette butts, sweep, occasionally pressure wash area around entrance and smoke shack</li><li>
Keep front entrance clear of snow and ice: shovel snow from all exit areas of building, apply salt (ice melt) where and when needed</li><li>
Maintain garden appearance</li><li>
Sweeps, mop and vacuum floor</li><li>
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blind</li><li>
Washes windows, door panels, and sills</li><li>
Empties wastebaskets</li><li>
Replenishes bathroom supplies</li><li>
Keeps storage rooms clean and organized</li><li>
Answers guest's questions about the facility</li><li>
