Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position for an <b>Armed Nuclear Security Professional</b>. The Nuclear Security Professional provides physical protection of nuclear power generating facilities against intrusion and acts of sabotage. The Security Professional conducts stationary guarding as well as foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), controls access and/or egress of personnel, materials, and vehicles. The Security Professional will also monitor CCTV, plant surveillance equipment and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity, misconduct, and safety violations. Additional duties may be assigned in nuclear training and qualification plan and post orders.</p><p><br>

Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist, performs Nuclear Medicine &amp; PET/CT procedures to produce images to assist physicians with a medical diagnosis, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.
</p><div><div><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b><br>

Duties:</b></p><ul><li>
Manages and maintains all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Departments, including dose ordering, state compliance, inspections, training, staff management, etc.</li><li>
Ensures adequate training of all NUC/PET employees.</li><li>
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals.</li><li>
Performs patient imaging procedures using radiation-detecting instrumentation following ACR and state regulations.
</li><li>Initiates, maintains, and discontinues IV access.</li><li>
Oversees the administering of contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals.</li><li>
Responsible for compliance in assigned oversight areas within imaging. Modality to be in compliance with state/federal radiation control/safety ACR guidelines with training, protocols/procedures, and competency.</li><li>
Prepares images, data analysis, and patient information to the Radiologist for diagnostic interpretation.</li><li>
Performs and monitors daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual QC as required.
</li><li>Calculates, measures, and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of in compliance with the Nevada Radioactive Materials License RAM and the American College of Radiology (ACR).</li><li>
Assists the Radiation Safety Officer with monitoring and posting monthly radiation exposure rates for the staff.</li><li>
Educates and ensures all Imaging department staff complies with As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles.</li><li>
Maintains stock supplies and assists administrators in determining quantities for purchase, performs general office duties such as recording procedure codes for billing purposes, typing forms, and scheduling patients.</li><li>
Assess and document the patient&rsquo;s condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.</li><li>
Ensure positive experience for the patient and uphold company objective for patient satisfaction.
</li><li>Check referrals for physician notes and/or special instructions.
</li><li>Instruct and assist patients in preps and physical positions for appropriate tests.

Job Summary</b></p><p>
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NM Tech) performs nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures. They work under a Radiologist's supervision. These procedures are for ambulatory and hospital patients. A physician or licensed provider requests them for diagnosing disease and injury. They follow established protocols.</p><p><b>
Essential Functions of the Role</b></p><ul><li>
Quality Assurance: Performs high-quality nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures according to exam protocol. Evaluates the quality of imaging procedures and follows established standards. Maintains equipment by performing quality control as required by imaging manufacturers, RAM, or ACR. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment capabilities.</li><li>
Caring Practices: Communicates with patients to identify service needs, ensure the correct exam is performed, and establish rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their family, following HIPAA, about the test and assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.</li><li>
Patient Safety: Explains the procedure thoroughly to put patients at ease. Protects patients and team members by following safety requirements, infection-control, protocols, and techniques. Prepares patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into position. Uses proper aseptic or sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive procedures. Maintains hand hygiene requirements.</li><li>
Radiation Safety: Safeguards patients, team members, and themselves by following all radiation safety rules, policies, and techniques. Verifies the correct radioactive drug for the exam or treatment. Screens patients for pregnancy status before the exam or treatment. Safely administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications per protocol. Educates patients on radiation safety techniques before and after the exam or treatment. Safely follows radiation disposal guidelines.</li><li>
Collaboration: Reports issues to leadership or the appropriate department. Assists in maintaining supplies inventory and ordering radiopharmaceuticals for patient care and Q.C. Works with colleagues, nursing partners, medical staff, and Radiologists. Ensures accurate transfer of patient images to the BSWH PACS for clinical review and dictation by physician partners.</li></ul><p><b>

Observe changes in patients' medical conditions and communicate them to nursing partners, physicians, and emergency teams. Administer first aid and use the emergency cart.</li><li>
Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge, education, and skills for caring for these age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric.</li><li>
Able to provide services timely, accurately, and cost-efficiently in compliance with established system and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.</li><li>
Able to perform tasks autonomously without need for routine oversight.</li><li>
Able to stay calm and helpful during stress. Takes reasonable steps to resolve issues.</li><li>
Ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service. Remain professional, review patient satisfaction scores, and develop action plans when needed.</li><li>
Able to serve as trainer by providing a quality education to new team members and students from BSW approved programs.</li><li>
Adhering to policies, procedures, and workflows. These include PACS, EMR, image exchange systems, modality worklist integrity, record management, and Biomedical services.</li><li>
General computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, electronic medical documentation, and email.</li><li>

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.<br>
