We inspect certain health facilities throughout the state to determine whether they meet state and federal standards, and we investigate complaints made against health facilities and agencies licensed or certified under our program. The purpose of our inspections is to determine a health care provider's ability to provide services that are safe and of an acceptable quality.<br>

This includes Medication Administration Training (MAT), review and approval of the child care program's health care plan, approval of the health care plan, instruction and monitoring of program's adherence to the health care plan, verification of staff qualifications to administer medication, ensuring compliance with in New York State Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) regulations. The Health Care Consultant provides technical assistance, workshops, and training to programs and providers on health care plan topics and best practices in child care health. The incumbent will work collaboratively with CCRR staff and other agencies while supporting the goals and endeavors of the Agency.</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p>1. Ensure all Child Care Resources of Rockland and NYS Office of Children and Family Services and Rockland County contract responsibilities are met, including paperwork, visits, complaints/violations, and data entry in a timely manner.</p><p>2. Guide programs and providers on maintaining compliance with OCFS regulations and health care requirements.</p><p>3. Conduct required visits and maintain ongoing contact with providers through face-to-face, phone, mail, and email communication.</p><p>4.
