Position Overview</b></p><p>
The Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage the healthcare needs of incarcerated individuals within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The NP will provide evidence-based medical care, promote wellness, manage chronic conditions, and coordinate treatment plans while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and healthcare standards.</p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical evaluations.</p></li><li><p>
Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions.</p></li><li><p>
Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic testing.</p></li><li><p>
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols.</p></li><li><p>
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.</p></li><li><p>
Monitor and manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and other ongoing conditions.</p></li><li><p>

Preferred</b></p><ul><li><p>
Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, occupational health, or correctional healthcare.</p></li><li><p>
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.</p></li><li><p>
Experience serving diverse and underserved populations.</p></li></ul><p><b>
