 The
 
 Digestive Health Clinic at the Outpatient Medical Center (OPMC)
 
 provides comprehensive outpatient consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and onsite endoscopic procedural care in an integrated clinic and endoscopy center. Our practice is designed to improve access to digestive health services through timely, high-quality, patient-centered care.
 
 
 We evaluate and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions, including abdominal pain, nausea, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), constipation, diarrhea, dysphagia, gastrointestinal bleeding, and other common digestive disorders. Patients also have access to onsite upper endoscopy and colonoscopy services, allowing for coordinated evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
 
 
 
 POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

 Join an independent, high-volume outpatient practice focused on general gastroenterology in an academic setting
 </li>

 Provide initial consultations, evaluations, and follow-up care for patients with a variety of general gastrointestinal conditions
 </li>
 <li>
 Support timely patient access by providing efficient evaluation and management of new and established patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Practice at the top of licensure while contributing to quality improvement and patient access initiatives
 </li>
 <li>
 Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary digestive health care team

 Primary Job Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conduct comprehensive evaluations and consultations for patients with common gastrointestinal complaints, including abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, dysphagia, and gastrointestinal bleeding
 </li>
 <li>
 Diagnose and manage general gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diverticular disease, hemorrhoids, and functional gastrointestinal disorders
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform pre-procedure evaluations to assess patient readiness and determine appropriate sedation or anesthesia requirements for endoscopic procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Interpret laboratory, pathology, imaging, and diagnostic test results to develop and adjust treatment plans
 </li>
 <li>
 Document patient assessments, clinical findings, diagnoses, and plans of care in the electronic medical record
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and the procedural care team to coordinate endoscopic evaluations, optimize patient preparation, and ensure timely follow-up
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive gastrointestinal health
 </li>
 <li>
 Refer patients to appropriate specialists and ancillary services when clinically indicated
 </li>

 Coordinate care with referring providers, primary care clinicians, specialists, and ancillary services to ensure seamless continuity of care

 Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practice

</div><div>Reporting to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) , the Behavior Technician is responsible for delivering direct, individualized intervention services to young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a clinic ‑ based setting. This role supports the implementation of evidence ‑ based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans, contributes to skill development and behavior improvement, and plays a vital role in supporting children and families while maintaining UW Autism Center clinical standards and practices.
</div><div>This position is located at the UW Seattle Campus. Employees MUST be available during ABA Day Program hours &ndash; 8:30-11:30 and 1:30-4:30 Monday-Thursday Tuesday- Friday. Employees are also required to be available for work on Fridays if necessary, for up to half of a regular shift. Schedule can be up to 40 hours &ndash; (Tuesdays-Fridays 8:00-6:30e.g., Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:30, Friday 8:00-12:00) but is negotiable based on clinic need and applicant availability. Hours may be subject to change based on client need, clinic needs, or schedule scheduling needs.

</div><div><ul><li>To provide direct intervention to children (ages 12 months to 6 years) with ASD in a clinic setting.

</div><div><ul><li>Work 1:1 with children age 12 months through 6years of age and their parents
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Implement intervention protocols developed by BCBA to increase skills/reduce problem behaviors.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provide responsible, positive, sensitive intervention and care during therapy.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Apply ABA principles in therapy; tailor procedures to fit individual interests/needs.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work under close supervision of master's level BCBA.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Assist in completion of curriculum assessments, as necessary. 
</li></ul></div><div>ORGANIZING/MAINTAINING THERAPY SPACE - 20%
</div><div><ul><li>Maintain clinic therapy spaces in an organized, clean, and child-proof manner.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Follow sanitizing and cleaning procedures.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Follow COVID-19 precaution procedures and protocols.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Set up therapeutic materials prior to start of program and clean up at end of program
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Comply with snack , diaper , and toileting procedures to ensure hygiene and safety with clients. 
</li></ul></div><div>DEVELOP MATERIALS - 10%
</div><div><ul><li>Create and produce picture cards, books, and other visual supports as needed for the therapy program.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Create and produce motivation charts, token boards, PECS icons, visual schedules, play materials, etc. 
</li></ul></div><div>MANAGING RECORDS AND DATA COLLECTION -10%
</div><div><ul><li>Organize and maintain computer and paper records of therapy including collecting and accurately recording data in each therapy session, graphing data, and completing treatment notes.
