Provides excellent medical care with the ARS philosophy outlined by the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director. Screen for co-occurring Primary Mental Health issues.</li><li>
Screen for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) including psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms.</li><li>
Must have knowledge of medications, assessment for medication complications, detoxification protocols and prescribing medications in general</li><li>
Screen for danger to self or others with an evidenced based assessment tool&mdash;the Columbia Suicide Screening Rating Scale (CSSRS) and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). Analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities.</li><li>
Screen for nutrition deficiencies and make interventions or refer for a nutrition consultation as appropriate.</li><li>
Screen for pain and understands treatment strategies for pain including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic approaches. Strategies should reflect an individualized approach based on the individual&rsquo;s current presentation, medical judgment and the risks and benefits associated with strategies, including potential risk of dependency, addiction, and abuse.</li><li>
Demonstrates proficiency using the electronic health record with all required documentation. ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulation, Joint Commission standards. Understands the On-Call responsibilities: will provide contact and back-up numbers, being responsive and available when assigned on-call duties. Must be within one hour of facility when on-call.</li></ul><p><b>

Licensed Nurse with Master&rsquo;s Degree or higher to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) in the appropriate state, as applicable, required.
</li><li>Must have a DEA to prescribe controlled medications and have had training on Buprenorphine Prescribing as outlined by the DEA in the state(s) working.
</li><li>DEA-authorized prescribers will be required to demonstrate that they have completed at least eight (8) hours of educational training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.</li><li>
Depending on the state practicing, may need a protocol agreement to be completed by the NP and Medical Director. Depending on the state, the DEA may not be able to be obtained until the protocol has been approved by the local nursing board. This is the only exception to not having a DEA at hire.</li></ul><br>

<li>Prescribes medical equipment, devices, physical and occupational therapy, and home health services per practice protocol.</li>
<li>Prescribes in-patient and discharge medications according to New York State law, including controlled substances with DEA authorization.</li>
<li>Works collaboratively with the attending physician, consulting physician(s), and other disciplines to identify, develop, and implement an appropriate plan of care that maximizes individual patient/family preference and enhances quality, access, and cost-effective outcomes.</li>
<li>Formulates the plan of care, along with the attending physician, patient and family, based on expected goals of care and length of stay.</li>
<li>Orders customary laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies per practice protocols, differentiates between normal/abnormal findings and follows protocols for abnormal findings, which may include referral to consulting physicians per customary pattern of the attending MD or with the collaborating physician.</li>
<li>Performs complete health history, physical examination and psychosocial assessment of patients within the designated practice or clinical unit.</li>
<li>Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.</li>
<li>Participates in designated activities related to professional nursing standards and regulations of relevant outside agencies.</li>
