GENERAL SUMMARY:</b></p><ul><li>
Henry Ford Health Nurse Residency Program is designed to assist the novice nurse transitioning from entry-level advanced beginner to competent professional nurse.</li><li>
The twelve-month program will be facilitated by academic and clinical faculty/preceptors engaged in the progressive development of critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.</li><li>
The Nurse Residency program supports the novice nurse in the delivery of safe, quality care within a collaborative interprofessional healthcare team environment.</li><li>
Additional support will be provided to the nurse residents in the form of peer groups, competency reviews and workshops.</li><li>
The nurse resident interprets the philosophy and goals of Henry Ford Health to others in the work setting; functions within established guidelines and demonstrates the ability to work effectively and develop therapeutic relationships with patients, their families and other professional and supportive personnel who provide patient care.</li><li>
Nurse residents will also participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and engage in implementation of solutions promoting optimum patient outcomes.</li></ul><ul><li><b><i>Position: 36 hours per week</i></b></li><li><b><i>Shift: Midnights 12 Hour Shifts</i></b></li><li><b><i>Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations</i></b></li><li><b><i>Benefits: Full time benefit package</i></b></li><li><b><i>

If unsuccessful, the Nurse Resident will be eligible to apply for a Nursing Assistant position until RN license is obtained. Health care provider certification (BCLS) required.</li><li>
Successfully completes within orientation.</li><li>
