 Purpose of the Role:
 
 
 
 
 As an
 
 early childhood educator
 
 , your job will be to deliver exceptional care and education to our children, and to be the main point of contact our families.
 
 
 To support our children&rsquo;s learning and development, document their experiences on a daily basis, plan for the next steps for children&rsquo;s development, and evaluate their progress.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Tasks:

 Lesson planning
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep everyone safe by following policies and procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Meet the dietary, health and care needs including feeding and nappy changing
 </li>
 <li>
 Work together with parents and other professionals
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the curriculum and planning cycle meets the needs of all children
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records and completion of progress checks for each child
 </li>
 <li>
 Practice positive behaviour management techniques
 </li>
 <li>
 Support and promote diversity and equality
 </li>
 <li>
 Work as part of a team
 </li>
 <li>
 Use initiative and show resilience
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend staff meetings and training sessions
 </li>
 <li>
 Participation in appraisals and one to ones
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote the centre to current parents and potential customers
 </li>

 Take on board new ideas and initiatives
 </li>

 Essential Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 University Degree &ndash; Ideally
 
 B.Ed (Early Childhood Education)
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Paediatric First Aid qualification (Desirable)
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Experience Required:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Early Years, Child Care Experience and/or other teaching qualification
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with young children either in a professional home base or early years provision
 </li>
 <li>
 A good record of on-going training
 </li>
 <li>
 Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding child development, including children with disabilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of child protection procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Soft skills: Patience, communication, teamwork and creativity
 </li>

 Responsible for delivering lessons in accordance with the designed progrme, corporate strategy and guidelines and utilize the worksheets, materials, teaching aids and methods that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience.
 
 
 
 2)
 
 Be prepared for each Lesson Plan i.e. read plans, attend Curriculum related workshops.
 
 
 
 3)
 
 Teach as per instructions given in the Lesson Plan and make use of various teaching aids, resources, activities, assignments listed in the Lesson Plan.
 
 
 
 Student Administration
 
 
 
 
 1)
 
 Inculcate discipline in and out of the classroom.
 
 
 2) Gear the teaching to the needs of all students with a concern for their interests, handicaps, special talents, individual styles and pace of learning.
 
 
 
 Classroom Functioning
 
 
 
 1) Perform daily duties: filling up of all records, check and sign Student diary .
 
 
 Correct Class work, Home Work sheets and Assessment Papers on time and as per the correction guidelines. Give quality and structured feedback to the student.
 
 
 
 4) Special Events
 
 
 
 Organizing and implementing the special events of the school.
 
 
 
 B. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
 
 
 
 
 1)
 
 The Teacher needs to maintain the following records:
 
 
 Log books/Academic calendars, including Secondary Home Work Log books.

 Assist the Coordinator in maintaining and updating records with regard to events such as PTMs, Culminating Activities, VIVA, Special days and Field trips.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the Coordinator in updating the list of Extracurricular activities, recording and updating details of Inter-House competitions and House points.
 </li>
