The Consultant Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and compliant medication use for all residents, in accordance with federal and state regulations, including CMS guidelines.</p><p>This role involves performing monthly medication regimen reviews (MRRs), identifying and resolving medication-related issues, and providing clear, actionable recommendations to the interdisciplinary team. <p><b>Overview:</b></p><p>***New Graduate Nurses Welcome***</p><p>Child Care Resources of Rockland, Inc. is seeking a Nurse (RN, NP) - Health Care Consultant to ensure the effective and efficient process by which Child Care Providers qualify for licensure for medication administration. This includes Medication Administration Training (MAT), review and approval of the child care program's health care plan, approval of the health care plan, instruction and monitoring of program's adherence to the health care plan, verification of staff qualifications to administer medication, ensuring compliance with in New York State Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) regulations. The Health Care Consultant provides technical assistance, workshops, and training to programs and providers on health care plan topics and best practices in child care health. The incumbent will work collaboratively with CCRR staff and other agencies while supporting the goals and endeavors of the Agency.</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p>1. Ensure all Child Care Resources of Rockland and NYS Office of Children and Family Services and Rockland County contract responsibilities are met, including paperwork, visits, complaints/violations, and data entry in a timely manner.</p><p>2. Guide programs and providers on maintaining compliance with OCFS regulations and health care requirements.</p><p>3. Conduct required visits and maintain ongoing contact with providers through face-to-face, phone, mail, and email communication.</p><p>4. Coordinate and conduct MAT training, including scheduling, promotion, and maintenance of materials.</p><p>5. Review and record immunizations and required health documentation for participating programs.</p><p>6. Provide reports, statistics, and information to the Agency and outside agencies.</p><p>7. Participate in agency events such as the CCRR Annual Meeting, community events, visibilities, and other activities as assigned.</p><p>8. Collaborate with CCRR staff, OCFS, and other regulatory or governmental agencies.</p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>1. Current valid New York State License as a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN).</p><p>2. Successful completion of Medication Administration Training for Trainers.</p><p>3. Three years&rsquo; experience related to community health, pediatrics, infection control, occupational health and safety, or advocacy preferred.</p><p>4. Strong writing skills: technical and expository.</p><p>5. Knowledge of Office of Children and Family Services regulations, and Head Start Performance Standards preferred.</p><p>6. Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of applications.</p><p>7.
