Job Summary/Basic Functions

LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty as a school of nursing excellence within an academic health sciences center environment. Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, PhD and DNP level, including state-of-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing &amp; interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program. We invite you to submit your curriculum vitae for the following faculty position: Simulation Faculty. Incumbent will provide instructional and technical support for the day-to-day operations in the human simulation educational laboratories at our Off Campus Instructional Site: Baton Rouge, under the direction of our Nursing Skills &amp; Technology Center; support all clinical learning lab and simulated patient care learning experiences to successfully complete evidence-based learning opportunities in simulated patient care environments.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Master's

Other Education if applicable: Master's Degree in Nursing or related field; Doctorate Degree required for Assistant Professor or above.

Type of experience required to perform the job: Ability to effectively manage a highly complex and high paced laboratory environment with careful attention to details and safety; Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to simulation &amp; learning labs; Ability to collaborate.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education: Doctorate

Other Education if applicable: Doctoral degree in Nursing or Health related field

Certifications or Licenses Preferred: BLS CPR Instructor certification (also ACLS and/or PALS)

Preferred Experience: Experience working with/and disposal of chemicals &amp; bio-hazardous materials and familiarity with state &amp; federal regulations; Experience in maintaining simulation laboratory inventories, supplies &amp; equipment.
