American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor position requiring an active NJ or Compact RN license and prior nursing leadership experience.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Hospital setting with oversight responsibilities across all units</li><li>
Nursing Supervisor role managing hospital-wide operations during off-hours</li><li>
Responsibilities span all units and departments throughout the facility</li><li>
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00&ndash;07:30</li><li>
Every other weekend required</li><li>
Floating required &mdash; the nursing supervisor oversees all units across the hospital</li><li>
Charting via Epic (experience preferred)</li><li>
Block scheduling is not available for this position</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Requirements</b></h3><ul><li>
Active NJ or Compact RN license required</li><li>
Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required; leadership experience highly preferred</li><li>
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certifications preferred</li><li>
Understanding of bed management principles and patient throughput</li><li>
Familiarity with patient care quality indicators and measures</li><li>
SSN and DOB required for consideration</li><li>
Two current professional references required for consideration</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Additional Information</b></h3><ul><li>
Oversee hospital operations during off-hours, driving patient throughput and maintaining care flow, particularly in the ED</li><li>
Maintain communication and collaboration with the Administrator on Call (AOC) for hospital events</li><li>
Monitor and support patient care quality indicators and improvement measures</li><li>
Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment</li><li>
All requested time off must be approved prior to offer</li><li>
Local candidates are accepted</li><li>
First-time travelers are accepted, though experience is highly preferred</li><li>
