 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
 
 
 
 The Nurse Coordinator is a patient care provider. The Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for the management of physician orders to outside services to ensure accurate and timely care delivery. The Nurse Coordinator will also be responsible for managing the individualized patient service plans in accordance with physician orders and instructions as well as administrative procedures. This will be accomplished by coordinating transitions of care from referring facilities during admission and assist with a safe transition home. In addition, the Nurse Coordinator will fulfill the duties of a RN as needed. As a part of the Nurse Management team, this position will monitor compliance with regulatory agencies in the nursing and direct care programs and ensure these teams have the resources, skills, and tools needed to follow best practices and provide safe and effective care to the patients at Moody.
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 
 Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 <li>
 Manage individualized service plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process admissions and discharges by coordinating with referral sources, business development and admitting physician.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure physician orders are acted on and communicated appropriately with pharmacy, lab, internal case managers and referral sources, including obtaining prior authorizations and diagnosis codes for tests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Function as floor nurse as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform cart audits to ensure EMR and medications on cart are accurate with current orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare patient medications for patients going out on pass or discharging.
 </li>
 <li>
 Schedule and perform patient medication education.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for bimonthly medication destruction with a second nurse.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend interdisciplinary rounds with physicians and team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with supply inventory and orders (i.e. Medline).
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates with the Physician, Director of Nursing, and Program Directors to ensure Moody can meet the medical needs of the patients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure documentation integrity in the electronic health record (EHR) and adherence to HIPAA and facility policies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Engage in root cause analysis investigations related to improving patient safety and outcomes, specifically in nursing care areas of responsibility.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as a resource for patient and family education in conjunction with nursing, clinical, and direct care staff. This includes both informal and formal education as well as attendance at patient care meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with program development; helping identify appropriate equipment and ensuring appropriate staff education to be able to meet the needs of the populations served.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support and assist in research efforts both of Moody employees and affiliates.
 </li>
 <li>

The Department of Nursing at Rowan University invites applications for a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) to begin as soon as possible. The Department of Nursing is one of three departments in the Salva School of Nursing &amp; Health Professions. POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State DuBois is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Practical Nursing Program Coordinator. The position will have dual reporting to the statewide PN Program Director and Penn State DuBois Director of Continuing Education.
The Practical Nursing Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the evening and weekend Practical Nursing Program for Penn State DuBois. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of all instructional materials and directing all educational planning activities to guarantee compliance with program standards. Other responsibilities include part-time instruction per module, development and coordination of the instructional plan schedule including clinical experiences. Assists in recruiting and retaining students, preparing and monitoring program budget, maintaining student records, and contributing to curriculum development. Provides or directs student counseling and support services as needed. In conjunction with the Practical Nursing Program Director, the coordinator holds responsibility for conducting program, student, faculty, and staff evaluations. The coordinator also assists in providing supervision and serving as a resource for PN instructors, as well as serving as liaison with clinical sites and the community.
Qualifications:

The Nursing Clinical Coordinator supports clinical education for students across nursing programs with a primary focus on graduate nursing.  <div>EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. All nurses hired after January 2010 must receive their BSN within 5 years of the date of hire. RN&rsquo;s who were employed at TCH prior to January 2010 and have more than 20 years of experience as an RN are permitted to pursue their BSN on a voluntary basis. An MSN or DNP are not required but superseded the requirement for the BSN.

THE TEAM 
 
The Health Care Project Coordinator will be part of the California Advocacy Strategy Area (CASA) team operating NHeLP&rsquo;s California-specific policy strategy which works to protect and expand access to quality, equitable health care for all people in California. Founded in Los Angeles, NHeLP has maintained a consistent and engaged presence in California since 1969. We work in collaboration with advocates and stakeholders to ensure health care laws, policies, and practices in California meet the needs of low-income and underserved people. We are also a support center for health and legal advocates across the state, including the statewide Health Consumer Alliance (HCA), a collaborative that provides individual health consumer assistance and policy advocacy, including legal representation, for low-income and underserved populations, as well as technical assistance and training to local legal aid programs and other health advocates. 
 
THE POSITION 
NHeLP is seeking a full-time Health Care Project Coordinator for a three-year (36 months) term. This is a project-based position. The Project Coordinator will work primarily with the CASA team. NHeLP&rsquo;s CASA team work is focused on the implementation of H.R. 1, or the so-called &ldquo;One Big Beautiful Bill Act&rdquo; (OBBBA), to ensure as many Californians as possible maintain access to Medi-Cal and other sources of health coverage and benefits. The Project Coordinator will help develop and coordinate the team&rsquo;s advocacy to implement and mitigate the harms of OBBBA in the State. The individual will develop and oversee a monthly OBBBA California Feedback Loop meeting for California-based advocates from legal and non-legal backgrounds who work with the low-income and underserved Medi-Cal populations. The position will involve a broad range of community engagement, project organizing, cross-sectional collaboration with our practice and strategy area teams and outside partners based in California. The Project Coordinator will ensure the smooth operation of our OBBBA-related projects in California, including recruiting and supporting California advocates working with the Medi-Cal population to join NHeLP&rsquo;s Feedback Loop meetings and other relevant coalitions, developing community engagement campaigns, and support the CASA team on this project, including NHeLP&rsquo;s California Managing Director and Assistant Director. The ideal candidate will have experience working with online communities and within underserved communities and will demonstrate an understanding of the issues that impact people with low income, BIPOC, LGBTQI+ individuals, people with disabilities, and other underserved populations. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
Coordinate California H.R. 1 Advocacy (60%)<ul><li>
Develop, operate and overseer the monthly California OBBBA Feedback Loop and meetings, including identifying methods to ensure members&rsquo; participation from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, as well as promoting active engagement and ease of use;</li><li>
Collaborate with the CASA team to identify and develop appropriate information and other materials for community partners and health consumers in response to OBBBA related implementation needs;
</li><li>Support NHeLP&rsquo;s policy staff in efforts to advance policies that protect access to health coverage and create the conditions for Medi-Cal beneficiaries to benefit;</li><li>
Work with CASA team to organize and review information from the Feedback Loop meetings, identify patterns of concerns and develop recommendations on how to alleviate the issues, as appropriate; and</li><li>
Develop newsletters or other publications for advocates, community stakeholders and the public across the State related to the Feedback Loop Project.</li><li>
Facilitate the development of trainings and presentations as appropriate.</li></ul> 

Partner with Community Stakeholders (25%)<ul><li>
Represent NHeLP in coalitions and partnerships or other meetings, working closely with advocates and community stakeholders who work with Medi-Cal enrollees and applicants to ensure that solutions reflect the lived experiences of individuals across California;</li><li>
Conduct outreach to local and statewide organizations and partners to encourage enrollment and participation in the Medi-Cal OBBBA Feedback Loop meetings;</li><li>
Support the CASA team in their development and maintenance of relationships with national and state-based advocacy organizations engaged in California OBBBA-related advocacy.</li></ul> 

Administrative and Other Responsibilities (15%)<ul><li>
Assist in writing grant reports on work and document timekeeping;</li><li>
Participate in internal meetings and working groups, as needed; and</li><li>
Collaborate with development, communication, and operations teams to accomplish the CASAy team&rsquo;s goals.</li></ul>

Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience);</li><li>
Three (3) years of project coordination or management experience;</li><li>
Experience in community or coalition building;</li><li>

Ability to design email layouts, newsletters and manage contact lists in Constant Contact, or similar marketing platforms, including adding new subscribers and maintaining distribution lists; and</li><li>
Deep knowledge of the Medi-Cal program and OBBBA as it pertains to Medicaid.

COMPENSATION 
Compensation is competitive with other public interest organizations and commensurate with experience. The salary for a candidate with the minimum requirement of three (3) years of experience is $71,502.00. This position is largely remote but may require in-person attendance at meetings in California with NHeLP teams, external partners, or coalitions. There is also an expectation that the CASA team and all NHeLP staff will gather in-person at least once and possibly twice a year.
