 5 south medical unit consists of 33 head walls all our rooms are shared with one negative pressure equipped room and two single room to accommodate patient that need private room. Our average census is between 29-32 patients, we monitor patients that need frequent safety checks through Video monitoring system. We have capability of accepting patients needing telemetry. We believe in patient and family centered care; we coordinate patient care with multi-disciplinary team members. We are certified and skilled to perform peritoneal dialysis.

 Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

 This position requires a full week of corporate orientation. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. You will be required to attend the entire week consecutively.

Role Purpose
The Centralized Telemetry Supervisor is responsible to the Telemetry Manager and all HSO patients across BJC (excluding IL hospitals). Assists Centralized Telemetry manager in daily operations management, including hiring, supervision and mentoring staff; preparing, maintaining and updating employee schedules, troubleshooting technical and employee relations issues; assists training coordinator with onboarding, orientation, and quality control; assists manager with budgetary and financial analysis and reporting. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages &amp; evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.</li><li>
May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.</li><li>
Assists with researching, evaluating, selecting and implementing systems which improve efficiency of work unit operations.</li><li>
Assists manager with regulatory compliance and budgetary /revenue goals for department. Manages daily billing to capture revenue for patients being monitored for fewer than 12 &ndash; 24 hours. Monitors equipment inventory and usage; order supplies as needed for continuity of care and safety.</li><li>
Builds relationships with other departments to ensure continuity and quality of patient care. Conduit between nursing staff and Monitor Technicians to resolve conflicts and elevate status and relationships of Monitor Technicians with nursing staff. Resolves critical issues and emergencies in absence of manager.</li></ul>

About the unit 7 North West is a 33-bed unit that specializes in bariatric surgery, as well as urological and colorectal surgeries. We also care for patients following reconstructive plastic surgery and many other general surgeries. Additionally, we also take care of medical patients, particularly those with digestive and abdominal disorders. We always strive to provide the highest quality of care in a patient and family-centered atmosphere. Our staff have the knowledge to care for many types of pediatric diagnoses which include, but are not limited to, oncology, hematology, endocrinology, neurology, general surgery, ortho, trauma, neuro, ENT surgeries, respiratory, adolescent medicine (disordered eating), gastroenterology, and more. Our healthcare team includes registered nurses, nursing assistants, clinical assistants, nurse practitioners, resident physicians, hospitalists, child life specialists, social workers, dieticians, physical &amp; occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, chaplains, and others who are trained to provide compassionate and high-quality care for our pediatric patients.<div>
