We perform over 3500 deliveries a year and over 2500 gynecologic procedures. We host a fully accredited <b>OB/GYN Residency Program</b> of 5 residents per year and are affiliated with <b>Drexel University College of Medicine</b> as well as the <b>Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine</b>.</div><p><br>
The role of the <b>Faculty Associate</b> is to work with the Program Director (PD), Program Manager (PM) and Department Chair (DC) to provide leadership, teaching, supervision and planning for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology educational programs and care of patients of our community outreach clinic, the Women&rsquo;s Health Center (WHC) with a focus on supporting the clinical learning environment for students, residents, medical staff to support the department, hospital and community needs.</p><p></p><p><br>

Assists with grant/protocol preparation and submission to IRB, OCR or OSP under direction of research coordinator under the direction of the PI and with answering IRB stipulations to obtain final approval, documents IRB approval and contract approval.<br>

Under direction of PI may draft various communications with Sponsor and/or regulatory documents to be sent to the Sponsor.<br>
</li><li>
May assist PI and/or research nurse coordinator in the planning and design of source documents for protocol.<br>
</li><li>
Assists in developing procedures for laboratory collection and storage.<br>
</li><li>
Process and ship lab specimens; retrieves and/or sends identified research specimens certified if indicated as per regulations.<br>
</li><li>
Assists in precepting new clinical research staff and educating other research staff regarding scientific aspects of studies.<br>
</li><li>
Process and ship lab specimens efficiently and cost effectively; maintains supply inventory and equipment; maintains regulatory standards.<br>
</li><li>
Assists with the budget development as requested.<br>
</li><li>
Adheres to internal controls established for department.<br>
</li><li>
Obtain Informed Consent from study participant and documents appropriately.<br>
</li><li>
Applies knowledge in contributing to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) activities and/or other regulatory activities.<br>
</li><li>
Reconciles study drug accountability; maintains temperature and QC logs per protocol compliance.<br>
</li><li>
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.<br>
</li><li>
Obtain Vital Signs, performs phlebotomy: monitors participants labs and notifies the PI of laboratory findings.<br>
</li><li>
Travel as needed to other clinics to administer consent to study participants, recruit participants or complete follow-up visits.<br>
</li><li>
May attend and participate in the Investigator meetings.</li><li><p><br>
