ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provides patient care under the direction of a registered occupational therapist. Completes documentation according to established procedures. Is involved in support duties as assigned. Providing clear instruction to patients and families.

Physical Requirements:

For Direct Patient Care:

<li>Must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform CPR, if required.</li>
<li>Must be proficient with the use of hands for repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulations.</li>
<li>Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will spend approximately 60-80% of time bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while working with Occupational Therapy patients.</li>

HOW YOU'LL WORK: 
You'll provide comprehensive skilled services as ordered by the attending physician. You will educate patients and their family members and ensures the safety of the patient. You are accountable for completing accurate documentation and remaining compliant with all legal rules and regulations.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:<ul><li>
Plan of Care: Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician and observe and monitor patient conditions and notify the Occupational Therapist of any changes in the patient&rsquo;s condition.</li><li>

Policies: Completes all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.</li><li>
