The instructor is responsible for planning and delivering structured aquatic workouts that improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, and overall wellness while ensuring participant safety at all times.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Plan, design, and deliver structured aqua aerobics classes suitable for different fitness levels</li><li>Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide clear verbal instructions</li><li>Adapt exercises to accommodate participants with varying abilities or injuries</li><li>Ensure the safety of all participants in and around the pool area</li><li>Monitor class attendance and maintain accurate records if required</li><li>Inspect and set up equipment (water weights, noodles, kickboards, etc.)</li><li>Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines</li><li>Provide motivation, encouragement, and positive feedback</li><li>Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow facility safety procedures</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment after classes</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Certification in Group Fitness Instruction or Aqua Fitness Instruction</li><li>Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification</li><li>Strong swimming ability and comfort working in water</li><li>Knowledge of aquatic exercise principles and safety procedures</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience teaching group fitness or aquatic classes</li><li>Lifeguard certification</li><li>Experience working with seniors or special populations</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Energetic and enthusiastic personality</li><li>Ability to motivate and engage diverse groups</li><li>Strong time management and organizational skills</li><li>Awareness of water safety standards</li><li>Ability to modify exercises for different fitness levels</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Indoor or outdoor swimming pool environment</li><li>Exposure to humidity, chlorine, and varying noise levels</li><li>Requires standing in water for extended periods</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to demonstrate exercises in water</li><li>Ability to lift and carry light equipment</li><li>Stamina to lead continuous movement sessions (typically 30&ndash;60 minutes)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
