This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care and support the daily functions of our busy dental clinic.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and providing excellent customer service.</li><li>Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow.</li><li>Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other third-party payers, utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.</li><li>Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating electronic health records (EHR systems) and medical records with accurate documentation review.</li><li>Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing information, scheduling appointments, and directing calls appropriately.</li><li>Assist with insurance claims processing, medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and collection efforts to ensure timely payments.</li><li>Maintain organized filing of patient records, medical documentation, and office supplies while adhering to HIPAA regulations for health information management.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical setting with dental clinic experience preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms like Meditech or Epic.</li><li>Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software.</li><li>Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently.</li><li>Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.</li><li>Prior clinic or healthcare office experience demonstrating administrative support skills such as intake processing and insurance verification is highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive patient information accurately.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
