Job Duties</b></p>
<p>
To provide administrative support to the CCAP Referral Unit by reviewing intake information and applying established criteria to determine appropriate information is routed to the correct CCAP Referral Specialist. Assist with coordination of new intakes and transfers within CCAP. Conducts regular maintenance of the Referral Unit waitlist database, maintenance of the referral unit&rsquo;s various directories, provide phone coverage. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is responsible for taking prepared drafts of minutes during various meetings.</p>

Minimum Qualifications</b></p>
<p>
Experience providing administrative support in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment, including reviewing and processing intake or case‑related information using established criteria. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in data entry and database inquiry operations, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite&mdash;particularly Excel and Word. Experience coordinating workflows, managing waitlists or tracking systems, and maintaining directories or unit records is required. Candidates must be able to take accurate notes or minutes from prepared drafts during meetings and provide effective phone and customer service support. Strong decision‑making skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities are essential.</p>

Working knowledge of the criminal justice system, community corrections practices, or related human services environments. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) certification, which requires meeting all associated training and background requirements.</p>

As an Office Specialist, you will provide essential administrative support to the assigned program or department. <li>Assists in the maintenance of office equipment including computers, telephone systems, copiers, fax machines and other types of office equipment; calls for service when necessary.</li>

Job Description</b></p><p>
This position exists to support the processing and customer service functions of the Records Department at Lake Superior College and ensures the timely, accurate and secure recording of confidential data of Records information. Processing responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: applications for admission, credit and non-credit registrations, contracted courses, college in the schools (CITS) registrations, post-secondary enrollment option applications (PSEO). Customer service functions include: communicating with students regarding Admissions/Records related issues in person, via telephone and email, and serving as a resource for colleagues on Records related policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities including assisting with departmental and campus committees and events.</p><p></p><p><b>
Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>
Strong attention to detail sufficient to create and maintain accurate records, and the ability to independently organize, prioritize one&rsquo;s work, and meet deadlines across multiple projects and assignments.</p></li><li><p>
Knowledge of program procedures sufficient to prepare correspondence, reports, and informational packets; knowledge of general office equipment and procedures such as basic math, typing, data entry, and related functions; and strong keyboarding and computer skills (email, word processing, web pages, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, databases) sufficient to disseminate information and communicate with students and the general public.</p></li><li><p>
Knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, and typing sufficient to type and edit a variety of written documents, and the ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students and prospective students, both orally and in writing.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to manage competing demands in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to train others in technical and human relations skills.</p></li><li><p>
